Elegance
If you’re looking for more space, more luxury or simply a Mercedes badge, then Bürstner’s top-of-the-range Elegance is for you. These are near-9m motorhomes on a tag-axle Sprinter/Al-Ko chassis with a 5,500kg maximum gross weight and a garage that can carry up to 350kg. The 10.25in MBUX display is standard in the cab, while power comes from the 150hp motor with stop/start. The 170hp motor is optional and you can even specify full air suspension.
The Elegance comes with Alde’s ‘wet’ central heating system as standard to give you domestic-style warmth and even heat distribution on board, while the Indus toilet system uses your grey water to flush the loo, reducing your water consumption. There’s even underfloor heating in the shower!
Elegance offers you a choice of single bed or island bed bedrooms (each with multi-zone comfort foam mattresses), as well as an electric drop-down bed (1.94m by 1.47m) that’s neatly hidden in the roof and lowers into the cab noiselessly on a belt system.
Other features of the Elegance include 2.05m interior headroom, a 140-litre fresh water tank, the Premium XL habitation door with central locking, and an en suite (including the wardrobe and large separate shower) that can be partitioned off from the living area. The kitchen comes with a 177-litre fridge, including a 35-litre freezer section, as well as a gas/induction hob, extra-wide soft-closing drawers, a pull-out larder unit and the option to add a coffee machine. Meanwhile, the My Bürstner app allows you to monitor and control living area features from your phone.
There are two models in the Elegance range:
* I 910 G – 8.99m long, large parallel sofa front lounge, rear single beds, split en suite with opposing shower and toilet areas. Price £164,790
* I 920 G – 8.99m long, large parallel sofa front lounge, rear island bed, split en suite with opposing shower and toilet areas. Price £164,790
Options packs include the Automatic Package (9G transmission, adaptive cruise control, electric parking brake), Self-Sufficiency Package (1,800W inverter, two 100W solar panels, 135Ah lithium battery) and Winter Package (heated cab seats, heated cab floor, additional diesel heater). Other options include Goldschmitt levelling jacks, electric cab blinds, leather upholstery, a premium sound system, habitation air-conditioning and all-silver bodywork (instead of the standard white).
Lyseo I
Described as encapsulating elegance and functionality, the Lyseo I offers layouts for both couples and families with lengths from 6.98m to 7.36m. It features an extra-large windscreen for optimum driver vision and a greater feeling of living space, while, inside, the wide aisle, headroom of 1.98m and a generous washroom ensure that you have plenty of room on your travels. With Fiat’s 180hp motor and eight-speed automatic transmission as standard, the Lyseo I is ready for any tour, whether on motorways or through the mountains. The cab can also be upgraded from Flex to Premium spec to add features like the 10in Uconnect touchscreen and alloy wheels.
The A-class body features a continuous insulated sandwich-construction double floor to give you greater comfort out of season, as well as ensuring that pipes, hoses and water tanks are fully protected from frost, while the 6kW Truma heating with digital controls will ensure that you’re always warm. An additional benefit is the step-free floor level throughout.
Bürstner’s wohnfühlen design philosophy aims to make your motorhome feel like a home from home with furniture in a plain wood-effect finish called Sandy Grey and a choice of high-quality upholstery materials. Plenty of ambient lighting, large rooflights and an XL habitation door (with low integral step) are standard across the range, too.
And as a Harmony Line model, you get upgrades such as additional interior lighting, extra graphics and chrome details on the outside, a second garage door, Vario roller blinds and an external power/TV socket.
All models offer four berths, including an electric drop-down bed (1.94m by 1.43m) in the cab. At the rear there’s a choice of twin beds, an island bed or a second drop-down bed, depending on the model chosen. The 744 layout has particular appeal for the UK market with its (rare for an A-class) lounges at both front and rear.
There are five models in the Lyseo I range:
