Acts announced for motorhome show

THE full line up of acts has been unveiled for the Northern Motorcaravan Show.

Topped by the legendary all-round entertainer Des O’Connor, the line up over the weekend includes country and western bands, singer songwriters, tribute bands and a disco.

The popular motorhome show is opening at its new home this year, the Pickering Showground, North Yorkshire, over the weekend of September 19, 20 and 21.

With a huge selection of traders selling new and pre-owned motorhomes, lots of end of season bargains and thousands of accessories, the show has become the best place to shop for all motorhome enthusiasts.

It will also include a massive exhibition area with a broad range of over 250 specialist outdoor traders including the UK’s leading motorhome dealers showing a huge variety of British, European and American motorcaravans.

Alongside these will be outdoor specialists displaying thousands of accessories to make your motorcaravan a ‘motorhome’, as well as leisurewear, clubs, services and new for 2008 a craft marquee.

There are great camping facilities at the show and a packed entertainment programme plus, your camping includes unlimited access to the exhibition area throughout your stay!

This year, showgoers can benefit from one night’s free camping (five nights for the price of four) and discounted trips for campers to stunning local tourist destinations on the Monday.

Your camping rate depends on your arrival day, pre-booked discounted rates are £40 (Thursday - Tuesday) £37 (Friday - Tuesday) and £34 (Saturday - Tuesday.)

Pre-booking for the event closes at 9am on Monday, September 1 2008.

Prices are based on up to two adults and three children in each unit (additional adults (15yrs+) are £12 each, children under fives are free). All vans must be off site by noon on Tuesday. Dogs and awnings are welcome but unfortunately we are unable to provide electrical hook-ups.

Non-booked admission at the show will cost Thursday £45, Friday £42, Saturday £39. Private sales are prohibited within the rally areas.

Thursday, 18th September: Henry Smith Country Dreams (Country Band) 7.15pm to 8pm/8.15pm to 9 pm.

Nightfly (Party Dance Band) 9.15pm to 10pm/10.15pm to 11pm.

Friday, 19th September: Crazy Dog (Country Band) 7.15pm to 8pm/8.15pm. to 9pm.

Infantasia (Tribute Band) 9.15pm to 10pm/10.15pm to 11pm.

*Saturday, 20th September: Sound of the Drifters 7.30pm to 8.30pm, Giddea Park 8.45pm to 9.45pm and Des O'Connor 10pm to 11pm.

Sunday, 21st September: The Rapiers (60s rock n roll band) 7pm to 7.45pm/8pm to 8.45pm.

Ivy League 9pm to 9.45pm/10pm to 10.45pm.

Monday, 22nd September: Disco.
