Motorhome Dealer of the Year 2026
Tyne Valley Motorhomes
A true family business, Tyne Valley Motorhomes was started by Jonathan Bell’s late father, Derek, while his mum, Elaine, has been involved from day one and his sister, Carolyn, runs the aftersales.
Jonathan moved from engineering into motorhomes 25 years ago and many of his staff have also been with the business for well over a decade.
Located on the A692, Tyne Valley Motorhomes is still operating from the site where it all began, although before that, in 1990, Derek was converting VW Type 3 campervans.
A sideline to a bedroom furniture business, selling the finished campervans from outside the family house, soon grew into a motorhome dealership.
It’s a very different story today, with a four-and-a-half-acre site and a further three acres recently purchased for caravan and motorhome storage.
There’s an NCC-approved workshop at Burnopfield that can undertake anything from awning fitting and full lithium battery installations to E&P self levelling and VB air suspension systems.
Four bays are dedicated to water ingress issues. You can expect to find around 100 new and used vehicles on display, with prices from £30k. New franchises are held for Adria, Chausson, Elddis and Swift.

Yorkshire Caravans & Motorhomes
Based in Bawtry, close to the A1 (M) and M18, this is the UK’s oldest independent caravan dealer – a family-run business since 1931.
It still operates from the same location, where motorhomes arrived in 2023, firstly from Bailey and now also Sun Living (Adria’s more entry-level brand). There’s an on-site leisure shop, awning display, servicing and a storage facility for 1,200 motorhomes and campervans.
