Best Family Motorhome 2026
Itineo PS740
It’s not the first time that this Rapido Group marque has won the Best Family Motorhome title. In fact, it’s a repeat victory, for Itineo took the trophy with its SBD700 model a year ago.
That’s a Fiat-based A-class, while this year’s winner is a low-profile motorhome on the Peugeot Boxer chassis. Itineo is an entry-level brand and one that has a particular speciality in family-friendly layouts.
Both the 2025 and 2026 awards winners have floorplans that include rear transverse bunk beds (77cm wide and a super-generous 2.07m long here), but the PS740 goes even further in catering for your offspring.
In this motorhome they have their own mini-lounge/dinette adjacent to the bunks. Teenagers can escape their annoying elders, while younger ones have their own table for games or drawing.
If everyone wants to be together, then the front lounge has plenty of room for four or five (the fifth seatbelt – on a rear-facing seat – is an option). There are long L-shaped and straight settees and both cab chairs rotate to join the living area.
For family feasts, the table unfolds to a gargantuan 1.10m by 94m. Then, at night, mum and dad won’t have to complete any complicated cushion jigsaws – there’s an electric drop-down double (1.87m by 1.44m) that leaves the entrance door unobstructed.
You don’t even have to move any of the settee cushions before lowering it. Meanwhile, the kids are well catered for in equal-sized rear beds, each with a light and an opening window.
Of course, there’s externally accessed storage under the bottom bunk, which can be turned into a full-sized garage by folding this bed away. With little ones, it’s vital to have space to remove the mud, too, so the PS740 has a proper separate shower.
That’s opposite the toilet room (which has plenty of space around the loo and basin) and its door swings round to make the back of the motorhome into a changing area, complete with a tall wardrobe.
Of course, you’ll also need to be able to feed the family and the 167-litre two-door fridge/freezer is a big plus. The galley itself isn’t huge but placing the hob well back in the counter frees up worktop space and an oven can be added as an option.
Price is another important consideration when you have extra mouths to feed and, here, the PS740’s low starting price impresses. Even with the Pack Life added (overcab sunroof, heated waste tank, reversing camera, Zenec multimedia system, flyscreen door, etc), the PS740 shouldn’t bust the budget.

Bailey Autograph 81-5
The more people you have on board, the more space you need and this 8.13m-long, 4,500kg Bailey has room to swing several felines.
In fact, few motorhomes feel as spacious as this, the Autograph also benefiting from an extra-wide body. The layout here offers two separate lounges, each with an electric drop-down bed above.
The rear bed comes down to seat height, while the end lounge is really quite luxurious. With a garage for all the kit a family will need, plus Alde heating for off-season comfort, this £93,999 motorhome is for families that don’t want to compromise.

Rimor Kilig 79 Plus
Italian manufacturers often cater for the value end of the market as well as building multi-berth motorhomes. That’s especially true of this new Rimor which, incredibly, packs seven berths into just under seven metres!
More realistically seen as a four or five-berth (watch the payload), this £59,995 motorhome has a true family layout, with twin pullman dinettes offering seating for six as well as long bunk beds across the rear.
The main parental berth is a drop-down double, while the super-spacious washroom even includes a seat for washing down your little ones.
