Motorhome range: Elddis Autoquest 2019
The 2019 season has brought with it significant changes to the Autoquest range, which is built by Elddis, part of the Erwin Hymer Group.
The Autoquest USP has always been based on offering the most desirable layouts designed for the British market with a higher than average specification and all wrapped up in a value-for-money package. As a result, it has remained one of – if not the – best-selling motorhome range in the UK.
As a result it is used by many dealers as the base on which they create their dealer special models. However, here we focus on the standard Autoquest range.
This season sees the range expanded to include an all-new layout, which brings the number of coachbuilt Autoquest motorhomes to six. The new arrival is the Autoquest 194, which features one of Europe’s most popular current layouts: twin rear single beds over a large garage.

The 194, which is priced from: £44,949 and sits – as do all Autoquest coachbuilt motorhomes – on a 3,500kg Peugeot Boxer chassis, has four travel seats and is actually a four-berth, as the twin front sofas convert into two extra berths come night time.
The rear single beds, which measure 1.80m long (nearside) and 1.82m (offside) and have fitted headboards and reading lights, can also be converted to a double bed if desired.

Below, the garage has twin loading doors, a tie-down hook in each corner and a maximum interior height of 1.09 metres.

But the 194 is not the only new arrival in the Autoquest line-up as we also see a brace of all-new Autoquest campervans hit showrooms for the 2019 season.
Unlike their coachbuilt siblings, this pair of campervans is based on the Fiat Ducato. They both have Grade III thermal insulation certification.
The first of the pair – the CV20, which costs £37,827 – is a pure two-berth rear lounge model, with longer sofas at the rear that can be used as two single beds at night.

The CV40, which starts from £38,377, has a further third berth, which utilises the compact front lounge to convert into a single bed, while the rear lounge with twin side-facing sofas, converts into a double bed.

The other five models in the 2019 Autoquest coachbuilt motorhome range are the:
- Two-berth 115 with a front lounge, rear kitchen layout (£38,749)
- Two-berth 175 with a front lounge, rear washroom layout (£42,999)
- Four-berth 155 with a front lounge, rear French bed layout (£43,749)
- Four-berth 185 with twin single beds ahead of a rear washroom layout (£44,799)
- Six-berth 196 with a twin lounge layout and drop-down bed above the front lounge layout (£43,749)
Finally, the entire Autoquest range received a refresh for the 2019 season, including the introduction of a magnetic habitation door retainer (when the door is open), an Ecocamel water-saving shower head, new LED reading lights and new Glacier upholstery.
