Motorhome accessory review: Roku Express streaming device
If you can’t be bothered with the faff of setting up the TV and aerial but fancy catching up on a spot of TV or watching a movie, then a simple streaming device could be just the ticket.
The Roku Express has a high-speed HDMI cable so it can be plugged straight into an HD television, and also comes with an easy-to-use remote control with preset channel shortcut buttons. All you need is an internet connection (a good WiFi signal) to be up and running, and watching free TV as well as subscription favourites like Netflix and Sky.
You can also install the free Roku mobile app on an i0S or Android device, meaning you can stream TV and music on a smartphone or tablet. Handy if you like to party the night away when your better half has gone to bed – just plug in the headphones and crank up the volume!
The Roku Express costs £29.99 and there’s no subscription fee. The device charges via USB, while the remote takes three AAA batteries.
