Love them or hate them, e-bikes are here to stay, providing motorhomers with two wheel independence if or when age has overcome fitness levels.

Back in February (p195), we reviewed the Motus full sized electric bike, but Raleigh also has a new folding e-bike, the Stow-E-Way. Available in black or white, the battery offers 260Wh (about 30 miles) and the rear wheel motor provides 45Nm through eight Shimano gears. It folds, in a really easy fashion, to 88cm by 80cm by 44cm, which makes it easy to stash on board under a bed.

Priced at £1,275, it’s fairly heavy (20kg). But, for that you get a decent-sized, solid bike (with decent-sized 20in wheels). The price also includes kickstand, mudguards and a rear pannier rack (normally options).
