Gerber Suspension Multi-Plier motorhome accessory review
Did you grow up watching the A-Team dreaming of the day you could make an armoured car from a pile of plastic drainpipes?
It’s unlikely this Gerber Suspension Multi-Plier could help, but you could keep it to hand waiting for the day one of your campsite neighbours issues a cry for help when he’s knotted his washing line too tight or needs to screw a handle back into a cupboard door.
Simply pull this rather large, heavy chunk of metal out and sail to the rescue of this hapless motorhomer with inferior tools and technical skills. It contains almost everything you could need, although watch your fingers trying to push the serrated saw back into place.
For £54.99, you get what looks like a pair of very heavy duty spring-loaded pliers. The handles for these fold backwards to reveal 11 more tools that pivot out on demand, including scissors, file, wire stripper, different sizes of flathead screwdrivers and, most importantly, a bottle opener. These all lock in the extended position for safety.
And, to impress your friends even more, it comes in an impressive Ti-Nitride finish and the nylon case can be clipped to a belt, so it’s instantly at hand for those emergency campsite repairs. There’s even a lanyard hole, but why you would want to hang 255g of metal around your neck is beyond us, unless you are BA Baracus.
