Essential Guide to 2021 motorhomes – Etrusco motorhomes and campervans

Etrusco T 7400 QBC/SBC motorhome

Etrusco, part of the Erwin Hymer Group, is akin to the Carado and Sunlight brands, but with southern European contemporary styling at an entry-level price. And it is those interiors which have seen some changes for 2021, particularly in the low-profiles (T-prefix) and overcabs (A-prefix).

In the larger low-profiles, the T 7400 series layouts, what will appeal to UK buyers is the QBC or SBC models.

It’s the ‘C’ designation which indicates the presence of inward-facing sofas up front, which creates a very open plan feel for the lounge and kitchen.

The table is large and fixed but can be pushed over to one side and can be made smaller for ease of access through to the cab or for lounging.

Those side sofas can also turn into extra travel seats if needed.

The kitchen has a three-burners-in-a-line gas hob, oven/grill and a small L-shape section which creates space for a pretty big sink.

There’s even a section of worktop just in front of the hob. The fridge is opposite this.

Then, making an en suite, the washroom and shower face each other across the corridor. The washroom door closes off the rear from the living areas, while a second sliding door provides privacy at night, too.

The two models then just differ mainly at the rear with the SBC containing twin single beds and the QBC having an island. A wardrobe sits under the foot of one of the beds in the former while there’s his ’n’ hers storage either side of the island version.

If these models are not for you, the range also includes a sub 6m French bed (T 5900 FB), a transverse fixed double bed, island beds and singles in varying lengths.

You can also order these models with the Type X Design Edition Package (see panel on next page for more details).

Etrusco V 6600 SB motorhome

This model sits within what Etrusco calls its compact range, low-profiles that are narrower than the standard models. Choose between the sub-six metre transverse bed V 5900 or this, which measures in at 6.65m but offers twin single beds in the rear.

The benefits of such models are clear when it comes to traversing the UK’s country lanes, or parking in busy towns.

Inside, you get cab seats that swivel to face the bench seat (with two extra rear travel seats) and twin single beds at the back. There are steps here for access as well as a pull-out panel to make this into a very large double if needed.

The wardrobe is actually in a raised unit next to the kitchen, which serves to create handy worktop space in a compact kitchen as well as making the layout much more open.

The all-in-one washroom has a swing wall to create a shower cubicle, too.

SPECIFICATION

Price from £39,890
Base vehicle Fiat Ducato
Layout Twin beds
Berths 2
Travel seats 4

Etrusco Vanolo campervan

Etrusco has also now added a campervan series, called Vanolo, to its line-up. Standard UK model starts at £36,590.

These can be upgraded with the Complete Edition Pack (awning, Campovolo paint), the Media Pack (camera, sat-nav, double din), 16in alloys, Comfort Pack, 3,500kg chassis and the Type X Design Pack.

The Vanolo range has four models, all based on the Fiat Ducato. The CV 540 DB is a 5.40m long model with a transverse rear bed.

The CV 600 DB is based on the long wheelbase Ducato, also offering a transverse double bed, while the 600 BB is the same but with a removable upper bunk bed above this.

The CV 640 SB is an extra-long model with lengthways single beds.

All models get flyscreens on the door, soft-closing mechanisms for cupboards and drawers, LED lights and Isofix as standard, while you can choose from darker or lighter upholsteries.
