Essential Guide to 2021 motorhomes - Bürstner motorhomes
Bürstner Elegance motorhome
Sometimes it can be difficult to work out the thinking behind motorhome names, but that’s certainly not the case with Bürstner’s latest version of its flagship model, the Elegance.
It’s a well-known name that has long been at the top of the Bürstner pile. But now there’s an all-new version based, for the first time, on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
And to coin a well-known phrase, the Elegance does exactly what it says on the tin. This is an eye-catching motorhome that exudes style and sophistication, as well as boasting a truly impressive array of innovative features.
For starters, it comes with Bürstner’s integrated double floor with two-way loading, with the added benefit of an easier process to get gas bottles in and out.
Further innovation comes in the cab, which features a new electrically operated bed that lowers towards the windscreen to create more space in the living room.
Moving into the living and sleeping areas, the interior designers have made excellent use of the space and the white, beige and black colour scheme gives them a stylish, contemporary look.
The Elegance also comes with the new Thetford iNDUS toilet system, that integrates fresh, grey and black water tanks and offers one-stop emptying. It filters grey water, automatically treats it with sanitary additives (which only need topping up every four weeks), and then uses it for flushing.
Bürstner says two people can be self-sufficient for up to a week with this new installation, which also saves water by reusing your grey. You can even monitor the system’s performance on your mobile phone.
Bürstner has also developed an odour converter in the toilet area, which spreads a water-based gel made from subtly scented essential oils slowly and evenly through the air to banish unpleasant smells.
Another novel feature of the Elegance is the magnetic tumblers, which come in high-grade crystal or plastic. They can be fixed to virtually any surface with a magnet strip or special coasters made from a metallic, nano gel pad.
The new Elegance range features two models: the 910 G with single beds and the 920 G with an island bed.

Bürstner Eliseo motorhome
If the idea of vanlife appeals but you are put off by the possible lack of comfort, then Bürstner’s brand-new Eliseo range could be the answer. Based on the Fiat Ducato, it is available in four different layouts, offering different vehicle lengths, bed and storage choices.
In the UK, all Eliseos will come as ‘Active’ models as standard. This includes an awning with LED lights, framed windows, chrome spoiler pipe, compressor fridges up to 135 litres, side door flyscreen, leather steering wheel, chrome rings on dash, aluminium look dash, high gloss black grille, LED daytime running lights, cab blinds, electric step, ESP, traction plus lots more.
Ovens are fitted in the C600 and C641, while the latter model gets diesel heating.
This is a high-spec range for the UK, with a simple list of options from an overcab skylight to pop-up roof with bed, to a choice of 10 body colours, plus the usual engine/gearbox options.

Lyseo TD Harmony Line 644 G
The Lyseo TD Harmony Line is one of Bürstner’s most popular ranges and the new new 644 G, with its relatively unusual layout, really stands out from the crowd.
The shower and toilet are at the front, immediately behind the driver’s cab. At the rear is a cosy U-shaped living room, with a movable table, that would easily accommodate up to six people.
Slot-in headrests allow you to use the sofa as travel seats. At the end of the day, the lounge quickly converts into a comfortable sleeping area, with the option of a cleverly designed electric drop-down bed.
The fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, a 175-litre fridge and ample storage, while a generously sized garage provides space to stow camping furniture or a couple of bikes.
