Essential Guide to 2020 motorhomes - McLouis motorhomes
McLouis Fusion 367 motorhome
The McLouis Fusion range made its debut last year as this Italian brand returned to the UK market after a fairly lengthy absence. Showing its commitment to selling on these shores, as well as its relationship with its importer (Auto-Sleepers), for the 2020 season, its motorhomes will become UK-handed (with the habitation door on the British nearside).
The all-Fiat Ducato range continues unchanged for 2020, bar the layouts being mirrored with the door now on the UK side. So, there are transverse fixed double bed, island bed and twin bed layouts all on offer, with lengths ranging from a compact 5.99m to a typical 7.41m.
The 367 model, shown here, is the more manoeuvrable of the two island bed floorplans, at a whisker under seven metres long. The separate shower sits at the foot of the bed opposite the toilet cubicle. The whole rear can also be closed off to create a private en suite or dressing area.
The well-equipped kitchen features an oven and grill, three-burner hob and 150-litre fridge/freezer, as well as an extractor hood.
The lounge combines the two rotating cab captain’s seats, an L-shaped sofa with two extra travel seats and a small seat next to the door. The fixed table then slides to allow access in and out of the cab as well as all four occupants to dine.
Key features include an overcab Sky Dome window, habitation door with flyscreen and window, lowered garage doors, flush-fit framed windows, Combi 6 heating, alloy wheels, cab air-conditioning, cruise control, 120W solar panel and an electric drop-down bed over the lounge.

McLouis Fusion 331 motorhome
The smallest model in the Fusion range, the 331 measures in at less than six metres long, perfect for those with limited driveway space or those that regularly take ferries.
This model has the classic compact fixed bed layout, with a transverse double at the rear above a spacious garage.
The washroom is an all-in-one affair including the shower with solid concertina doors, which stop the toilet and basin getting wet. Storage is also excellent in here, too.
The kitchen is compact and yet still manages to offer a roomy fridge/freezer, oven and grill, three-burner hob and good-sized sink.
The lounge offers two extra travel seats with the drop-down double bed lowering from above to make this a true four-berth.
You know you won’t have to tick many options either, as the Fusion range is already very well equipped as standard with alloy wheels, the more powerful Truma Combi 6 heating and much more.

Base vehicle: Fiat Ducato 140bhp

McLouis Fusion 373 motorhome
One of the longest motorhomes in the Fusion line-up, this 373 offers one of the most popular layouts around, with twin single beds with wardrobes under each bed, too.
Twin beds mean that either occupant can use the facilities in the night without disturbing the other, and its particularly appealing if one is an early riser while their partner prefers a lie-in.
The washroom is split across the aisle and has a separate shower on one side and a toilet cubicle with basin on the other.
The well-equipped kitchen mirrors that in the 368 and has all a chef could need, while the lounge provides rear travel seats as well as space for four to dine in comfort. A double bed lowers electrically from the lounge ceiling to provide an extra two berths.
Practical features of the Fusion range include a full glass-fibre underbody and roof, and LED lighting in the garage among many other items that are often optional extras on competing models.
