This 2016 Autosleeper Winchcombe is 7.3 metres long with a Mercedes 2.2l engine giving 163 bhp to the rear wheels and is 7 speed AUTO, that can be switched to manual if wanted – but why would you ? The Mercedes engine is every bit as quiet as you would expect it to be and is almost inaudible when driving. Snipe 2 satellite with 24” TV including built in DVD player and TV aerial.It has a large full height, automatic, 3-way fridge freezer (gas/12v/240v mains) Anyway, it’s been uprated from 3880kg, so it’s now 4250kg, so it has at least 800kg of PAYLOAD available. Lets say a person weighs 80k, plus dog 20k, fuel/water is a kilo per litre, so 60 fuel+ 60 water plus 30 grey/waste water =250k used up, and no wife and no food and clothes yet !Batteries: also fitted 2 months ago are 2x 85w latest tech nano Gel batteries powered by a B2B charging unit which is also able to charge Lithium batteries when the nano batteries give up in about 6 years’ time.It has newish tyres, Goodyear Vanco tyres all year round (3 peaks), these will allow you to travel to Italy or France or anywhere with cold conditions as 3 peaks tyres are the law, but also below 6 degrees c, tyres become brittle and lose grip. it has Dunlop Air suspension on the rear axle along with 5-ton shock absorbers to allow for the potential additional weight. Any motorhome comes with standard van brakes and leaf springs and shock absorbers and become inadequate the moment you fit a big permanently heavy “box” on the back. BRAKES.All 4 wheels have been fitted with drilled and grooved disks (but standard size disks) and Brembo pads. As a result, no more heart stopping moments going down French and Austrian mountain roads.Fitted towbar and electrics.Fitted DUAL REAR CAMERAS – one looking down and one looking straight back that can be left on permanently as you drive (displayed on rear view mirror). I was in France once, a while ago and was flagged over by a gendarme on a motorbike as I could not see the ambulance right behind me. Hence the camera’s now ????
