Coachman releases a rich variety of new styles for 2024

Coachman Caravans is setting its sights on the 2024 season with a significant focus on its VIP range, bringing forth a host of exciting changes and enhancements

The VIP range showcases 3D exterior graphics that lend the range name and model number an embossed feel – a feature also seen in the Laser and Laser Xcel models for the upcoming season.

However, the true transformation unfolds inside these caravans. The VIP models sport new fabrics and locker doors characterised by a contemporary angular shape – a design element shared with Laser and Laser Xcel but in different tones.

The VIP kitchens have undergone substantial revisions with a recessed sink, set beneath the worktop accompanied by a matching infill. There’s a new flatbed ventilated microwave, too.

One of Coachman’s longest-standing ranges, the VIP is also one of Coachman’s most popular. That quality has been emphasised this year with fresh graphics on the outside; with 3D graphics which burst with detail.

However, it’s inside where the big changes have happened. That includes the fabrics that have coordinating scatter cushions and sculptured armrests for more supportive lounging. The Tibero wood interior contrasts with cream and grey upper locker doors for bedrooms and lounges.

Kitchens have seen a lot of changes for enhanced practicality as well as style. The top locker doors are wider, but come with soft-close hinges, while there are positive catches on the drawers below (meaning they won’t accidentally slide open en route to your holiday destination).

The sink is recessed under the worktop, offering a much more domestic feel, and a matching cover allows for extra worktop space. There’s a new microwave, too; a flatbed ventilated version which offers a more even cooking process than the traditional turntable models. Fridges stretch to 91 litres of capacity in the single-axle models, while the 675 offers 159 litres of cooling.

Neat details include the provision of more USB sockets, including USB-C ports, which many devices seem to be adopting.

All models have spacious end washrooms, but you can choose between a compact model without a fixed bed (460), the family-friendly 520 with a side dinette, the 565 with fixed single beds, and two transverse island bed models (575 and 675).

The all-rounder that’s been designed to appeal to newcomers and seasoned caravanners alike, each of the four models in the Acadia range have seen a few detail enhancements for the coming year. Take a look at the new graphics, with a more premium 3D profile, along with soft-close hinges for top lockers and a flatbed microwave (no turntable plate needed).

The two single-axle models have an island bed (lengthways in the 545 and transverse in the 575), and both are now fitted with a new 91-litre Thetford fridge/freezer.

Stepping up into the Xtra twin-axle models, kitchens get the bigger 137-litre fridge/freezer. Both of these get an L-shaped front lounge and second side lounge; the 630 has bunks and the 660 has a French bed.

The three models in the Laser range are designated Xtra, meaning they stretch to 8ft wide. This means the interiors offer an incredible feeling of space. As well as the two existing island bed layouts, the 665 is joining the line-up for this year. Thanks to that body width, the single beds found at the rear are extra-wide, too, while the shower (opposite the toilet compartment) has a luxury one-piece door opening onto a spacious cubicle. Parallel seating in the lounge and a L-shaped kitchen, with a 159-litre fridge, complete the layout.

Matt black interior fittings, which are totally on trend for the coming season, including the tap and LED spotlight surrounds (with built-in USBs for charging devices) add a modern vibe to this well-equipped caravan.

The extra-wide Laser Xcel models all offer accommodation for four, with double beds of varying orientations. The choice, therefore, comes down to whether you want an end washroom, or one in the centre that straddles the aisle between lounge and bedroom, and if you want an L-shaped seating area or parallel setees.

New for this season is the 850 model, which offers a redesigned washroom – a door closes off the front of the caravan, while the toilet door swings over to provide privacy from the bedroom.

As well as numerous detail changes, including graphics, more-supportive backrests in the lounge, and modern locker doors, these models get a 159-litre fridge/freezer and a new style of microwave that doesn’t have a turntable.

The top of the Coachman range is also its best-selling, with two models to choose from. Layouts are similar but you can choose between a more compact single-axle or the stability of the twin-axle model.

Both layouts get an L-shaped lounge up front, spacious kitchen, generous wardrobes and a double bed that runs across the caravan. Generally known as an island bed, you can walk around the foot to reach the luxurious washroom at the back that spans the full width of the caravan.

There are a few detail changes for 2024, but key is the 40-litre water tank and a domestic-quality flexi-tap.
