Wandahome’s Awning Centre is along one entire side of the building that houses the indoor caravan showroom and shop, where chairs and tables are set out just as if they’re in use.

10 best caravan accessory dealersWe spotted a make of table that we rarely see, a Reimo Twiggy II, an 80x60cm table at just £17.95. Beside it sits an Isabella Comfort chair at £62.

Wandahome, like most accessory shops, finds that Isabella’s new range of furniture sells well. In the same display there’s a Calor Mini-BBQ (£129); this little cameo of outdoor eating lifestyle set us on the track of more chairs. There’s a semi-circular display of them in the shop; eight to study and sit on to compare comfort.

Toy car-and-caravan sets are guaranteed to appeal to very young accessory shoppers. If you’re seeking more everyday stuff, there’s a large display of toilet chemicals and caravan cleaning equipment. A 45 litre-capacity Gateway Waste Caddy, with a gauge to indicate when it’s nearly full, at £53.95, caught our attention, as did a Kampa awning tidy at £9.99. The latter has a series of pockets in a panel that you can hang on a horizontal awning pole.

Kettles in bright colours and sets of melamine tableware in a variety of colours and patterns also stand out.

This is a shop that provides everything you need, and also most of the items that you might want, to enhance your leisure lifestyle.
