Details
Well-signed from the road, with a good entrance, Carnevas is located in unspoilt countryside bordering the beautiful north Cornish coastline. The name is derived from the Iron Age when it meant ‘Fort or Camp on the Hill’.
As well as a pleasant touring park there are also a selection of modern holiday homes, chalets and a holiday cottage available to rent.
You are surrounded by a wealth of opportunities for enjoyment here – many breath-taking cliff walks, a working farm, golf, historic houses, and of course, the legends of Cornwall to investigate. The park is situated only half a mile from the beautiful Porthcothan beach, with marvellous sandy bays, good surfing and is very safe for children. Treyarnon Bay is also nearby which will delight the children with its many rock pools and sandy coves. Famous attractions within the area include the Camel Cycle Trail and the Eden Project.
There is a 9-hole pitch and putt golf course next to the campsite, while the 18-hole Trevose golf course is nearby. Padstow has many opportunities for watersports and fishing trips, or you can take a boat ride and see the amazing marine life which comes to the area in the summer months.
Camel Creek Adventure Park has the reputation of being Cornwall's biggest theme park and offers a day of fun for all age groups.
The busy and bustling town of Newquay is not far away, offering one of Europe’s undisputed best surfing beaches, as well as many indoor and outdoor attractions, bars and restaurants, along with a fabulous Zoo - a farm adventure park which is a great all-weather day out.
