Details
Despite its close proximity to Central London, this campsite sits in the Lee Valley Regional Park, a quiet and relaxing area stretching 26 miles along the leafy banks of the River Lee. The park offers a wealth of activities including cycling and walking routes, fishing and horse riding - ideal for those looking for an active holiday.
Epping Forest, covering 1000 acres, is also nearby. Both the park and forest provide the perfect setting for wildlife on the outskirts of London, from birds to bats, and from fish to otters, this area of the country is quite a haven.
The campsite itself is level and spacious offering a range of pitches with electric hook-up. There is an on-site shop stocking all the essentials (including maps and travel cards for your days out in London), which is open every day. There is a laundry facility onsite and children will love to let off some steam in the safe play area. The toilet and shower block is clean and practical, and is accessible to disabled visitors. Dogs are allowed on site but must be kept on a lead and controlled at all times.
On site there is the Lee Valley Athletics Centre, a lake for bird-watching (with a bird-hide), as well as a twelve-screen Odeon cinema and an eighteen-hole golf course.
On-pitch winter storage is available on site.
