introduction
Berry Barton Caravan and Camping Park
Berry Barton enjoys a sheltered position on the edge of the pretty coastal village of Branscombe. It is a 350 acre dairy farm, with its land stretching along the cliffs to include over a mile of coastline. The dairy herd, Shetland ponies and other farm animals graze on the fields that surround the caravan park. The farm is family run and visitors can watch the day-to-day activities of the farm whilst at the same time enjoying the lovely rural setting.

Details
Although mainly made up of static holiday homes, this campsite also offers a touring and tenting field, with pitches suitable for motorhomes, caravans and tents.
The grass underfoot is well-kept and mown and, although predominantly a static site, these are arranged in their own area, covering two fields. The camping field has a very private and rural feel, perfect for a quiet seaside getaway. Many of the statics are privately owned, too, which means the campsite is quiet all year round.
The campsite sits on a 350-acre dairy farm, where the working dairy cattle and Shetland ponies graze on the fields around you - kids will love watching them from the pitch. And, sitting in the middle of a working farm really adds to the rural experience.
On-site facilities include laundry plus drying and basic but adequate toilet and shower facilities for campers.
The real bonus at this site, however, is the lovely coastal setting - there's even a footpath directly from the site to Littlecombe Shute, a unspoilt secluded beach with rock pools when the tide is low.
The pretty coastal village of Branscombe is within walking distance and offers two lovely village pubs, both serving food and with outdoor seating, perfect for taking the dog. Take a walk round the village, look up at the beautiful thatched roofing and stop at the Norman Church.
In fact, there are a number of stunning walks in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Heritage Coastal path runs along the headland and is a great place to take in sea views and clifftop panorama.
For a little bit of shopping or to grab a bite to eat, the town of Sidmouth is nearby, with its cinema and theatre. The cathedral city of Exeter also lies just 17 miles from the site.
