introduction

Greenhills Holiday Park

Greenhills Holiday Park is a family owned and operated business, located just one mile from the historic market town of Bakewell (making it within walking distance), which is well known for the famous Bakewell pudding, and offers a good array of shops from high quality antiques to the modern camping and walking shops. The streets are aligned with quaint coffee shops. Greenhills offers touring pitches all on hardstanding, tent pitches and holiday caravan pitches. All of these units occupy twelve acres of grounds including some woodland, making it an ideal habitat for wildlife.

Details

The facilities are located in the centre of the park, making them easy access for all areas. These consist of a Stable Bar, convenience shop, washrooms and laundrette. Children’s facilities include two play areas and a large recreation field for all outdoor games.

The spa town of Buxton is a short drive along the A6. Buxton is well known for its pure spring water, and the famous Buxton Opera House. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are well known stately homes and are a short distance, hosting lots of exciting events such as the Chatsworth Game Fair in September. Both houses are open all year round (with the exception of Christmas).

The Peak District National Park itself offers plenty of walks from gentle strolls to strenuous hikes. It is famous for its disused railway lines such as the Monsal and Tissington Trails, which are great for walkers and cyclists. Towns such as Matlock and Matlock Bath are full of character and all within a short drive from the park. There is plenty to see and do for everyone.
