World class golf comes to Kent this July

In July 2020 some of the world's greatest golfers will be challenging for the 149th Open Championship, returning to Royal St George's in Sandwich, Kent.

Located on the coastline of Kent, the event will showcase some of the best players competing for the trophy as well highlighting the stunning Kent countryside and all the county has to offer. The players and the numerous visiting spectators will be able to enjoy beautiful views of the sea and coastline as well as enjoying the picturesque countryside and numerous local treats.

The 149th Open will be held from 12-19 July 2020 and tickets are available for the pre-Championship practise days and opening day of the Championship. Various hospitality packages are still available for all days.

Keat Farm Parks have three beautiful touring and camping parks in Kent, all with good access to the county and located within easy reach of the golf tournament.

Little Satmar at Capel-le-Ferne is a quiet and peaceful park situated near to Folkestone town with its cobbled streets and seafront attractions, and under 30 minutes' drive from Sandwich.

Quex Holiday Park is located in the village of Birchington, close to the popular seaside resorts of Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs. The holiday park is set within beautiful Kent countryside and is partly wooded throughout. Quex Holiday Park is under 25 minutes' drive from Sandwich.

Hawthorn Farm is set within 28 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and is situated just outside of Dover. With the port of Dover, and continental access, within five minutes' drive from the park, such attractions as Dover Castle and Deal seafront draw many visitors to the area. A train station is located only two minutes' walk from the park entrance and it is a 15-minute train journey to Sandwich. Driving would only take a further five minutes.

For those wishing to take a walk there are a number of car parks in the area and walking routes to the event.
