Vango Edition 60 review: Why It's The Best Tent Of 2026
Description
Vango is celebrating its 60th anniversary in style with the launch of the limited edition Edition 60 – an award-winning family tent that showcases everything the Scottish brand has learned over six decades of tent design.
Full Review
Vango built its reputation on iconic models like the Force Ten before becoming one of the biggest names in family camping in the 1980s and 90s. The Edition 60 – a limited edition tent created to mark the company's 60th anniversary – is a world away from the backpacking tents that made its name, and demonstrates just how far tent technology has evolved. Production is limited to just 100 individually numbered tents, making this an exclusive model aimed at campers looking for the very best.
Premium package
Costing £1,600, the Edition 60 comes as a complete package that includes the tent, a groundsheet protector, an AirBeam pump and a fitted insulated carpet, giving you everything you need to get started.
Possibly the standout feature is the new Dynamic Weave 300 fabric. At 300 denier, it's significantly tougher than the 70-denier material commonly found on many family tents, giving it a reassuringly robust feel that's more akin to a caravan awning than a traditional camping tent.
The flysheet also carries a 5,000mm hydrostatic head waterproof rating, providing excellent protection against prolonged, heavy rain, while Vango's ColourLok Eco technology is designed to improve colour retention and extend the life of the fabric.
Spacious and practical
As soon as you step inside the main living area you get a sense of space. The near-vertical side walls maximise both headroom and usable floor space, creating a huge living area with plenty of room for dining furniture, storage units and relaxing after a day outdoors. Large PVC windows flood the interior with natural light, while an integrated front awning provides valuable extra sheltered space for relaxing, dining or storing wet gear.
The layout is equally flexible. A large front porch and a rain canopy over the side entrance give campers multiple options depending on the weather, while the secondary side door can be used as the main entrance, leaving the front porch free as a cooking area or handy boot room.
Ventilation is excellent throughout. Large mesh panels behind both front doors, low-level vents beneath the windows, roof skylights and additional ventilation around the sides and rear combine to create impressive airflow on warmer days.
Comfortable sleeping
At the rear are three spacious double bedrooms, each capable of accommodating either a double air bed or two singles. The Midnight Bedrooms do an excellent job of reducing early morning light, helping everyone enjoy a better night's sleep.
The zipped dividers also allow the sleeping accommodation to be reconfigured into one large bedroom if preferred, adding another level of flexibility for different family set-ups.
Clever features
One of the most useful additions for 2026 is Vango's new sliding window blind system. Rather than opening or closing the curtains completely, you can position them at exactly the height you want, giving far greater control over privacy and the amount of daylight entering the tent.
The integrated SkyTrack system is another thoughtful touch. Running along both the central and front AirBeams, it allows you to attach lighting, storage organisers and other accessories without improvising hooks or clips.

Our Verdict
There's no escaping the fact that the Edition 60 sits firmly at the premium (ie expensive) end of the market, but it's equally clear where your money goes.
Build quality is exceptional, the new 300-denier fabric inspires real confidence, the living space is enormous and every feature feels carefully considered. From the versatile entrance options and excellent ventilation to the darkened bedrooms and innovative sliding blinds, this is a tent designed to address all the ‘pain points’ campers can experience.
The Vango Edition 60 combines outstanding materials, thoughtful design and genuine innovation to create what is arguably Vango's finest family tent to date. A worthy winner of the Tent of the Year in the Out & About Camping Awards.
