What’s the Zempire Evo TL V2 like?

In a world where there can often be very little difference between one tent and another, Zempire’s are always a little bit more interesting. The Evo range was introduced in 2020, and had all the standard features you’d expect in a family tent, plus a few others that you won’t find elsewhere.

For example, SeroLink beam technology means the flysheet is attached directly to the frame, so the pack is reduced in size and weight without any reduction in strength. The angled beams provide better headroom inside the tent, and add to the rigidity.

The updated V2 model is new for 2022 and now features the Multi-Room system, which gives you several options for adjusting bedroom/storage areas in the inner tent using zip-out dividers.

The size and layout on offer here make this a perfect tent for longer family holidays for smaller families. There’s good height throughout, excellent ventilation and a useful front awning area. It comfortably sleeps four but might be an option for couples who want some extra room to spread out.

Constructed with rugged 150D fly fabric and offering a 6,000mm hydrostatic head, the TL should be more than capable of dealing with the UK’s harshest weather conditions. And multiple high and low ventilation points and a large rear window (with cover) provide airflow throughout the tent, making it ideal for summer holidays.

Two side access doors add some flexibility to your layout and the tinted PVC windows let light in but retain some privacy. The 360° door design allows the main door to be fully or half unzipped, so you can take in the views. The door and side windows have a solid fabric layer for privacy and warmth and a mesh layer for bug protection.
