WHO’S IT FOR?
Families who are on a budget but want more than the “cheap and cheerful” supermarket option

WHAT’S IT LIKE?
For sheer value for money, the new Eurohike Air 600 is simply outstanding. At the time of writing, it’s available from Millets and Blacks for £299, making it one of the lowest priced inflatable family tents you can buy, outside the budget supermarkets.

ut rest-assured, despite the price tag, this is no bargain-basement piece of rubbish, destined to leave you and your family splashing around in pools of water as soon as the weather takes a turn for the worst. It boasts great living space, good quality materials and plenty of handy features, along with a hydrostatic head rating of 4,000mm, which is more than enough to keep the worst of the British weather at bay.

The Air 600 is the big brother of the Air 400, which we have reviewed previously. The two tents are more or less the same in every way, other than size and capacity. The 600 will sleep up to six campers, but would be comfortable for four.

The front door is large and fitted with a mesh backing that provides excellent ventilation in the sort of high temperatures we enjoyed last summer. The PVC windows make the living area bright and the sewn-in groundsheet keeps the elements at bay.

he two darkened, bedrooms at the rear have mesh panels on the doors and at the back to help airflow and the fabric divider can be removed to create one large room. Other handy features include storage pockets and a cable entry port.
