WHAT’S IT LIKE?
Inflatable tents might be everywhere these days, but there’s definitely still a place for traditional poled models as this proves. The colour-coded steel poles make pitching easy and they should be sturdy enough to cope with strong winds. 

The Mackenzie 6 BlackOut is a spacious, easy to pitch family cabin tent with great head-height and generous sleeping proportions. It features comfortable XXL BlackOut bedrooms, one of which converts into two rooms with a removable divider. They are all big enough for double airbeds. Coleman’s BlackOut bedrooms block out 99.9% of light and keep the bedroom warmer at night and cooler during the day.

The spacious interior provides enough living space for a family table and chairs if the weather takes a turn for the worse.

A storage area with built-in clothes rail keeps clothes and gear organised, and the tent features a three-layer window system combining mesh/PVC/curtain for plenty of ventilation and to keep bugs at bay.

The rear ventilation panel can also be zipped completely open. And with an impressive 4,500mm hydrostatic head as a rain porch and rain skirts, the Mackenzie 6 is geared up for whatever the British weather throws up.

A waterproof PE groundsheet and UV coating provide more protection come rain or shine. Extra security is provided by the zipper stoppers on the tent doors, which ensure that the zips are always within reach in the event of an emergency.
