PITCHING
Quick and easy to pitch, with three individual valve points on the inside of each beam. Quick release valves deflate the tent in seconds.

LIVING
The large front door (mesh-backed) leads into the main living space, which has plenty of headroom and decent floorspace, although the sloping front does eat into the living area a little.  It is bright inside, with PVC windows at the corners and on both sides. There are storage pockets under the windows and on the outer bedroom.

SLEEPING
The sleeping area is split in two with a detachable dividing panel.  There are small storage pockets on each side and a ventilation panel at the rear.

Berghaus is a brand renowned for its technical quality in outdoor clothing and this tent – available only from Millets and Blacks – lives up to that reputation. The Air 4 is a weekend tent with decent living and sleeping space for a couple or a young family. The bedrooms are a good size and the living area is light and well ventilated. The 6,000mm hydrostatic head rating means it should provide enough protection from the heaviest downpour.
