WHAT’S IT LIKE?
They say big is beautiful and that’s certainly the case with this addition to the Berghaus range.
We’ve been fans of this collection – available from Blacks, Millets and Ultimate Outdoors stores – for several years and the latest addition does not disappoint.
The Telstar 8 is a traditional tunnel tent with a large front porch area that can accommodate up to eight campers and comes with four breathable Nightfall bedrooms designed to keep the early morning sunshine at bay.
The spacious front porch comes with split doors that can be rolled up to create an open area and the large panoramic PVC windows make it a really bright space for cooking or dining. A large, mesh-backed door leads though to the main living area, which offers plenty of space for furniture. The angled TPU air tubes mean there is lots of headroom and lets you make good use of the floor space.
In typical tunnel fashion, there are three double bedrooms along the back of the tent, with a fourth room set up in the living area. This can be removed if not needed, or could be used for storage (it comes with a hanging rail for clothes) or as a kids’ play area.
The rear bedrooms have mesh-panels on the doors and at the rear to tackle condensation issues and there are zip dividers between each room to let you choose the ideal set-up for your needs.
Protection from the weather is provided by the 6,000mm hydrostatic head flysheet and the 150 denier polyester fabric is reassuringly durable.
