The Queensdale 8PA is a superb example of an extra-large family tent, offering a combination of flexible sleeping and living accommodation and top-quality materials. As you would expect from Outwell, it’s also packed full of useful features designed to make your camping more comfortable.
This versatile inflatable tunnel tent is brand-new for 2022 but is already proving popular with retailers, who know a thing or two about what campers are looking for. In addition to the excellent range of features, what makes the Queensdale stand out from the crowd is the huge amount of flexible living space.
The three zones provide you with a wet room, dry living room and a bedroom area. It can sleep up to eight people in four bedrooms, making the set-up ideal for families on long camping holidays.
The fourth room – an inner tent in the living area – can be used a bedroom, a guest room for visiting friends or relatives, a handy storage area or a kids’ playroom. If it’s not needed, it can be removed easily to provide you with even more daytime living space.

Quick & Quiet Access doors use magnetic strips to provide silent, zip-free entry between the front wet room and the lounge, and the Queensdale also has Quick & Quiet doors on the bedrooms.
The darkened Premier Bedrooms are designed to keep out early morning sunshine, and have mesh ventilation to keep temperatures down in summer and help tackle condensation.

Outwell Yosemite Lake 6TC
Specifications
Price:
£2,076.99

Family air tent
Sleeps:
Maximum 6, comfort 5
Weight:
Flysheet 35.1kg, poles 26.8kg
Dimensions:
750 x 400cm
Despite the huge popularity of inflatable tents, traditional pole construction is still the preferred choice of many campers.
And the new Yosemite Lake from Outwell takes poled tents to another level – from the lavish technical cotton fabric to the silent, magnetic doors, these are sheer luxury.
The five-berth 5TC is already a winner in the 2022 Camping magazine awards and its bigger brother, the 6TC, is just as magnificent.
The three-zone tent features magnetic Quick & Quiet Access doors, large Ambassador Master bedrooms and the technical cotton flysheet brings a touch of luxury.
The beauty of this type of fabric is that it brings the best of both worlds – the lifespan, water resistance and practicality of modern materials, combined with natural cotton’s breathability.
And for those of us who pine for the good old days, the cotton also provides something of the feel and smell of a traditional canvas tent.
With a generous living space throughout, this is a great option for family campers looking for something special for their adventures in the great outdoors.

Knoxville 7SA
Specifications
Price:
£1,900.99
Style:
Family air tent
Sleeps:
Maximum 7, comfort 6
Weight:
53.2kg
Dimensions:
800 x 470cm
The Knoxville 7SA was named Best XL Family Tent in the Camping awards in 2021, combining size and quality to great effect.
It’s already proved to be a best-seller, and the 2022 version has received a couple of design upgrades which have made it an even better buy.
For 2022, Outwell has introduced its new Outtex 6000 Endurance RS – a light, tough, double-ripstop polyester that’s four times stronger than the standard Outwell tent fabric. There’s also enhanced ventilation with a new rear vent on the bedrooms.
Elsewhere, it has three spacious living zones, featuring silent access doors in the living room and bedroom, the HookTrack hanging system, side entry doors and Gothic-style air tubes to maximise headroom and usable floorspace.
The Knoxville 7SA is absolutely enormous, so you will need at least a couple of pairs of hands to get it pitched. That said, despite its size, it’s actually easy to put up and the dimensions mean it’s a comfortable base for family holidays.
The spacious front porch area makes an ideal kitchen/dining space, with the large front door having multiple opening options, including a veranda. Materials, of course, are of a high standard.
