GEAR REVIEW: Mora Companion Colour knife

knife

The great outdoors is ingrained into the culture in Scandinavia, which is why they know their onions when it comes to outdoor gear, especially knives.

It’s a relatively new name in the UK, but Mora has been a leading knife brand since 1891 and every blade is still produced in the original factory in Sweden.

The brightly coloured Companion range – available in blue, green, pink and orange – is perfect for camping trips. It has a powerful 2.5mm thick steel blade with a three-quarter length tang – the bit of the knife that runs inside the handle. The longer the tang the stronger the blade. The handle, made from robust TPE rubber, is soft and easy to grip and the knife comes in a sturdy plastic sheath.
