4dfc650f-708c-48da-adca-dbaecc818ba9

The 2019 Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show will have more tents on display than ever before, with several new brands taking part for the first time alongside the regular exhibitors.

The brands' tent displays will showcase all their new tent models for 2019 as well as some of their extensive range of camping accessories.

We've picked out six tents that we think you should look out for if you’re planning to attend the show, which takes place from 19th–24th February.

COLEMAN MACKENZIE 6
Price £550
The new Coleman Mackenzie 6 BlackOut tent is a spacious, easy to pitch family cabin tent with great head-height and generous sleeping proportions bringing comfort to all campers, even those over 6ft tall. It features comfortable XXL BlackOut bedrooms, one of which converts into two rooms with a removable divider to offer ultimate sleeping flexibility. Your best chance at a campsite lie-in, the BlackOut Bedrooms block out 99.9% of light while also keeping the bedroom warmer at night and cooler during the day. Long enough to sleep campers over 6ft, and with full head height throughout, the Mackenzie really is the perfect tent for taller campers. Its spacious interior provides enough living space for a family table and chairs if the weather takes a turn for the worse. A home away from home, the Mackenzie has two doors, a clothes rail and storage area to keep clothes and gear organised, and features a three layer window system combining mesh/PVC/curtain for plenty of ventilation and to keep bugs at bay. This allows you to manage the level of airflow through the tent and reduce the risk of condensation, maintaining a comfortable interior temperature. With an impressive 4500mm hydrostatic head on the flysheet as well as a rain porch and rain skirts the Mackenzie 6 is geared up to withstand the unpredictable British weather. The waterproof PE groundsheet, sturdy steel pole structure and additional UV Guard SPF50 coating ensure protection come rain or shine. Extra security is provided by the zipper stoppers on the tent doors which ensure that zips are always within reach in the event of an emergency, even for children.

KHYAM AIRTEK 8 PRO
Price
£1399.99

The new Khyam AirTek 8 Pro utilizes the latest Khyam Inflatable technology to offer a truly palatial family tent that can be pitched in a matter of minutes. The flysheet is constructed from Khyam’s Weather Weave 5000 – a 150 Denier Polyester fabric with fully taped seams, offering strong and robust protection with excellent waterproof properties exceeding 5000mm hydrostatic head. The generous darkened bedrooms at the rear of the tent are set out in a 2+2+2 configuration and each inner tent is large enough to take a standard double airbed or two singles. In the living area is another two-berth inner tent, taking the AirTek 8 Pro up to eight berths, or alternatively it doubles up as a wardrobe. The large living area with a fully sewn-in groundsheet keeps the weather and pesky bugs at bay. The living area is light and airy thanks to the large panoramic Vista Doors.  An optional set of four canopy poles can be purchased allowing the Vista Doors to be converted to individual sun canopies, ideal for hot summer days and warm evenings. The living area is further enhanced by a fully removable front panel opening up the entire front section of the tent. The AirTek 8 Pro is effortlessly inflated in a matter of minutes with the high-volume stirrup pump provided. The high-pressure Air Tubes provide a sturdy structure which is further enhanced by the Khyam Precision Pitch webbing guy system, which is capable of coping with the worst of weather. Khyam webbing storm straps are pre attached in all four corners, and  can be quickly deployed adding further strength to the structure when required.

OUTDOOR REVOLUTION AIREDALE 6S
Price £1,059
The Outdoor Revolution Airedale tent range for 2019 has evolved again with even more technical additions to this already highly successful range. The passion to create the most functional tent on the market, and the desire to create the perfect camping experience in all weathers has meant the 2019 Airedale 6 has been their best seller for 2017 and 2018. And now for 2019 it’s been improved, with the addition of more ventilation, bigger and darker bedrooms, and the ability to attach a canopy to the front, creating a spacious covered sitting area. Technically the Airedale 6S is one of the most advanced tents on the market with the highly-acclaimed “Intelligent Frame” pressure relief valve, to ensure no chance of over-inflation either by the user or from the increased pressure created by the sun on hot summer days. Outdoor Revolution are so confident in their air system, that they also offer a lifetime guarantee, for peace of mind. The 180HDE hex fabric, which gives a hydrostatic head of 4000mm, is also fully seamed and has UV protection, to create a very robust and waterproof tent. Sleeping comfort and breathability have also been improved by the 230cm deep bedroom in a new twilight grey fabric with extra ventilation. Each tent also comes included with a peg set, repair kit (including a tightening tool for the valves), storm straps, guy ropes and a manual pump. For anyone starting their camping journey, or looking to upgrade their tent, the Airedale 6S is the perfect choice.

OUTWELL STONE LAKE 7ATC
Price
£2,249.99
The Stone Lake is big and beautiful. It has loads of space and comfort for up to seven people but not only that, with its sleek lines, blue and silver colour-scheme and Gothic arch shape, it looks simply stunning. As we discovered when we took it out for review, this is a real head-turner on the campsite. It feels right too – the technical cotton flysheet takes you back to traditional camping values, with all the modern-day attributes designed to maximise comfort. With fast air inflation, the tent has three Premier bedrooms that can accommodate most sleep systems and a spacious living area. Ample headroom and large tinted windows create a light, airy feel and an additional side door with mesh panel backing provides good ventilation while keeping out bugs. The unsual light coloured groundsheet helps create a bright interior in the two living areas. We also love the little touches like the fold-flat groundsheet at the door to prevent tripping and the cable entry points on the inner tent. This is all about bringing the outdoors inside, and you can fully open the front to enjoy the view.
