This adults-only campsite may have just 35 touring pitches, but is proof of the maxim that good things come in small packages. It’s a real winner for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and is just a short walk to a championship fishing lake. The attractions of Bath, Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare, as well as the scenic Mendip Hills, are within easy reach and there’s a pub and shop only a few hundred yards away.

Country View Holiday Park

Just a short walk from the beautiful Sand Bay beach, this first-rate campsite’s facilities include a large heated outdoor swimming pool and a licensed bar with a sun patio. Close to Weston-super-Mare, it offers 120 touring pitches and good access from junction 21 of the M5. There's also a laundry room, children's play area, an arcade and games room on site, and a choice of restaurants in the nearby area.

Dulhorn Farm Holiday Park

Handy for the famous Cheddar Gorge, the Mendip Hills and the beaches at Weston and Brean, Dulhorn Farm offers level grassed pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents, with electric hook-ups set in a secure site with barrier access. Facilities include a play area and a shop that stocks essential supplies open at peak times or on request. The campsite offers seasonal and part season pitches, together with CaSSOA-registered storage facilities.

Exe Valley Caravan Site (adults only)

Bridgetown, Dulverton TA22 9JR
In the heart of Exmoor National Park, nestling among trees, Exe Valley Caravan Site has an idyllic and sheltered setting. Each of the 50 pitches is next to either the River Exe or a gentle mill stream. There are ample electric/television hook-ups, as well as a small on-site shop and heated toilet blocks. Opposite is the Badgers Holt Inn, which serves excellent real ale and bar food daily. Red deer and Exmoor ponies roam free in the area.

Holiday Resort Unity in Brean Sands has comprehensive facilities and offers something for all members of the family. There are various eateries, bar, entertainment complex, swimming complex and all manner of children’s clubs and activity centres. Adult entertainment includes fishing, golf, and bingo. Nearby there’s also Brean Leisure Park with over 40 fun-filled rides. Brean Sands beach is within walking distance. Discounts at Brean Golf Club, Water Park and Leisure Park.

The Old Oaks Touring Park (adults only)

Almost at the foot of the legendary Glastonbury Tor, with delightful panoramic views of the Mendip Hills, this beautiful adults-only campsite regularly wins top awards. First class facilities are complemented by a well-stocked shop and off licence, games room and fishing pond. The campsite has a large dog walk, pool table, book exchange and footpaths to Glastonbury and the Tor. Cycle hire and WiFi are available.

Wells Holiday Park (adults only)

Haybridge, Wells BA5 1AJ
Within walking distance of the historic city of Wells, famed for its cathedral and Bishop’s Palace, this superb campsite is also very handy for the magical caves at Wookey Hole and for visiting Cheddar Gorge, Bath, Bristol, Weston-super-Mare, Glastonbury, Street and the Somerset Levels. Open 365 days a year, it has all-weather pitches and a new facilities block. A bus stop at the site entrance makes local travel easy.
