Polish campervan manufacturer, Globe-Traveller, which won the Campervan of the Year 2023 title for its Voyager Z, launched a new model at the CMT Show in Stuttgart

The new Falcon is the brand’s first conversion to be based on the Volkswagen Crafter. The design of this campervan followed market research into the requirements of those spending more than three months in their campervan and owners who work while they travel.

The most common must-have features turned out to be:

  • High-power solar panels
  • Two leisure batteries
  • An inverter
  • A WiFi router
  • Diesel-powered heating
  • Habitation area air-conditioning
  • An environmentally friendly (dry) toilet

As a result, the Falcon that made its debut in Germany was based on a 4x4 Crafter with full winterisation and the following spec:

  • 320W solar panels
  • Two lithium batteries, total capacity 400Ah
  • An 1,800W inverter
  • 5G WiFi dual-sim router from Peplink, a leader in mobile communication
  • Waterless, chemical-free Clesana toilet (as standard)
  • Living area air-conditioning
  • Dynacook ceramic hob (gas under glass)
  • Truma 6D iNET heating

Globe-Traveller found that converting the VW Crafter presented a big challenge, as it has significantly less space inside than a Fiat Ducato/Peugeot Boxer and the side walls narrow more towards the top. However, the company reports that its new model has retained all the features for which the brand is known.

It has a double floor and excellent insulation, making it suitable for travelling in winter conditions. Interior headroom is a minimum of 1.91m and construction is said to use only the highest-quality materials. The new campervan is also offered with a gas-free option.

The Falcon also boasts a new layout with a side-facing settee and a new design for the rear washroom. Despite being based on the 5.99m Crafter, it also boasts a small rear garage area for chairs, a table and sports equipment.

Globe-Traveller cannot yet confirm a launch date in the UK for the Falcon.
