1996 HYMER E510 £21,995
This A-Class is the wildcard in the pack
Base vehicle: Fiat Ducato 2.5TDI
Berths: 4 Belted seats: 3 Miles: 44,000
Length: 5.92m Width: 2.29 Height: 2.79m
MTPLM: 3,200kg Payload: n/a
+ First class seating; great layout; fully winterised; built-in rear cycle rack; canopy
- Cab seats and table difficult to set up for dining; no oven; no UK mains sockets
Mart says
A steal for a couple at this price, although it would be a shame to let that ultra-comfortable rear travel seat to go unused.
2002 BURSTNER A530 £21,995
Six fully belted travel seats
Mart says
It’s smart and it’s very well put together, but unless you are very organised, it is really best for a couple. Four on board? Well you might manage, but six is really out of the question.
2003 SWIFT GAZELLE £21,995
Superb U-shaped rear lounge
Base vehicle: Fiat Ducato 2.8JTD
Berths: 4 Belted seats: 2 Miles: 38,108
Length: 5.94m Width: 2.21 Height: 3.02m MTPLM: 3,400kg Payload: 447
+ Spacious U-shaped lounge with the potential for a massive double bed
- Only two belted seats
Mart says
This layout can have its disadvantages, but the Gazelle keeps them to a minimum, especially when there are only two people to cater for. The cab forms no part of the living space, but the lounge easily compensates for that.
2001 HYMER SWING £21,995
Five berths in this small package
Mart says
If you need to carry several passengers but don't want to own or drive a leviathan, then you have to accept the shortcomings of this Hymer, which does everything as well as could possibly be expected and also looks rather cute.
