WE wanted to opt for the Avanté 472 instead of its identically-priced sibling, the 482?

The reality is that, because there’s not enough to separate the two, the fractionally smaller 472 has been dropped from the Elddis stable for this season. The 472 may have been slightly lighter than its relative, but as they both feature an end washroom, offer two berths and have a conventionally laid out lounge with two opposing sofas, there was little to choose between them.

The 482 has a slightly less roomy kitchen, but there’s not enough in it to really make a difference. You’ll love the spacious washroom complete with separate shower cubicle. The washroom has less floor space than the 472 did, but that’s because of its proper, built-in wardrobe. All models in the Avanté range are nicely finished, with identical equipment levels to that of the Compass Corona; you’ll also look ultra-cool with those blacked-out windows. They’ll be the next big thing, but you can be in there first if you buy an Avanté. While they shouldn’t be the deciding factor, the reasonable price, good equipment levels and brilliant washroom could well be.
