With twin beds in a secluded rear bedroom, the Elddis Affinity 574 is good for couples and families.

The Erwin Hymer Group’s portfolio has two models with a twin bedroom at the rear and washing arrangements spanning the width of the caravan amidships.

There’s the twin-axle Supercyclone, or this one, the more compact, lighter Affinity 574. Both caravans will appeal to couples looking for twin beds and to families with teenagers; the teens get the twin bedroom and mum and dad make a double bed in the lounge.

Between these two areas is a surprisingly spacious kitchen with four drawers, a large cabinet and a surface which, when you bring the extension into play and keep the almost flush-fitting sink cover in place, offers plenty of space. The fridge is under the wardrobe, opposite the kitchen.

A double door arrangement separates the bedroom and shower room from the kitchen. The forward, hinged door, opens across the corridor and closes to divide off the toilet-washbasin room.

The rear door slides across the corridor, to seal off the bedroom. These makes access to the shower and toilet compartments convenient for people sleeping at both ends of the caravan.

The 574 has two TV points, one at the front of the lounge so that you can put your TV on the front central cabinet, and one in the bedroom, though you’ll need to fit a bracket on the offside wall if you want to use this one.

Seven top lockers line the bedroom, and there are two large lockers above the lounge. All have refined positive catches hidden within the handles.

The Affinity range’s fabrics for this year are an attractive blend of the darkest brown flat velvet and near-white.

Affinity models have Alde heating and the ATC stability control system.
