WE'RE big fans of Bailey here at Which Caravan.
The company builds some great caravans, yet it invariably charges less for them than its rivals - despite the fact that in many cases the Baileys are better. That’s because the Bristol company has invested heavily in an efficient factory - and you can reap the benefits. The Pageant sits below Bailey’s range-topping Senator, with the Monarch being the cheapest of the line-up. However, because of its status within the Bailey catalogue, you get all the kit you’d expect for £11,345 - and more besides.
How does a 117-litre fridge/freezer and a domestic-style oven and hob grab you? Well they’re standard, along with plenty of other goodies. But it’s not the kit count that should impress the most - it’s the amount of space on offer. The end washroom with separate shower cubicle is fabulous, but the whole ‘van feels very light and open thanks to the wide aisle. The conventionally arranged lounge is also a cracker, but if there’s a fly in the ointment it’s that the galley doesn’t have enough worktop space. Still, with all the money you’ll save by purchasing a Bailey, you’ll be able to eat out every night of your holidays.
