Campers Information

If you’re planning to visit us during the weekend, we have to put together a handy A-Z to help you.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURES

Arrival between 12noon and 6.30pm on Thursday 3rd October 2019 or between 9am – 6.30pm on all other days. Campers arriving after 6.30pm will be parked in the holding area at yellow gate until the following morning at 9am. (These campers can use the facilities and attaned the entertainment)

Departure, by 12 noon on Monday 7th October 2019.

BARBECUES

Where barbecues are permitted users should endeavour to minimise smoke and fumes and any annoyance to neighbours.

All barbecues must be raised sufficiently off the ground to minimise the risk of fire and to avoid damage to grass areas.

Suitable approved fire extinguisher must be available.

BEHAVIOUR

The Society requests all caravanners, campers and visitors to be considerate to fellow campers, staff and visitors on site.

CAMPING AREAS

Camping fields open 12 noon Thursday and close 12 noon Monday. If you wish to camp with friends/relatives, all vehicles must arrive together. The campers arrival gate will close at 6.30pm Thursday and Friday subject to weather conditions. 

We have several camping areas available:

- Pre-booked disabled 
If you are a holder of a blue badge, then you can stay in the Disabled Area which will be situated nearer the Exhibition Area. You will need your blue badge on display and please be aware that the badges will be inspected on arrival at the Show.

- Pre-booked general 
Our general area is open to all pre-booked campers. There is a separate non-booked general area.

- Electric hook up pitches
200 EHU pitches will be available for advance bookings. Please note these will be in a separate area to the pre-booked general and pre-book disabled.

- Clubs
If your club is hosting a rally at this show, you may be able to camp with them (space allowing). Pitches in club areas must be pre-booked. Click here to see if your club is rallying.

- Non-booked campers
Non-booked campers can stay in either the non-booked general or non-booked disabled area (please note there is limited space in both areas and blue badges will be inspected upon arrival). 

Thursday arrival £47 (rally gates open at 12 noon and close at 6.30pm)
Friday arrival £44 (rally gates open at 9am and close at 6.30pm)

Please see positions on the site plan. Do not empty down toilets.

ENTERTAINMENT

Only drinks from the bar may be consumed within the entertainment venues. 

The organisers reserve the right to alter the entertainment programme without prior notification. Please note that flashing lights may be used

during the entertainment. Bag searches may take place on entry to evening entertainment.

EXHIBITION AREA

Thursday – Closed

Friday 9.30am–5:00pm

Saturday 9.30am–5:00pm

Sunday 9.30am–4.30pm

FIRE PRECAUTIONS

All caravans must have smoke detectors.

Everyone on site should acquaint themselves with the safety precautions against fire and the whereabouts of the fire points.

Please ensure that you have a suitable and approved fire extinguisher.

FIRST AID – 24 hours

If you require assistance during your visit, First Aid Services are located in Stock Stewards from 3rd – 6th October. 

FOOD

There will be a takeaway option that will be served on Friday & Saturday from 5pm – 9.30pm near Linden Suite.

Friday: Fish & Chips, whole tail scampi, chicken, sausage and mushy peas.

Saturday:  Chinese selection of freshly cooked oriental meals.

Please note that there will be no food offered inside Severn Hall for the evening entertainment, however you are welcome to bring your takeaway into the Severn & Teme Hall.

GAS
Available from the Calor Gas stand from Thursday 3rd October afternoon to Monday 7th October morning.

GENERATORS

Permission is given to use a generator subject to the following conditions:

  1. Suitable and approved fire extinguishers must be available
  2. The generator must be turned off between the hours of 10pm and 8am.
  3. Please use with consideration of other site users and your neighbours with regard to noise disturbance

HAZARDS

The major hazards are electrical faults, LP systems, generators, smoking and leaking of fuel from parked vehicles.  Campers are requested to take all precautions and to act responsibly.

  • All LPG equipment must have a valid test certificate.
  • All electrical equipment must have a valid test certificate.
  • All storage of LPG cylinders must be in accordance with HSE Guidance Note CS4.
  • Appliances must only be used where a fixed installation is provided within a caravan.
  • Campers are requested to keep their sites clean and clear of litter.
  • Campers must report any fuel leakage immediately to stewards/security staff.

LITTER BINS

Please use the rubbish bins provided or take all rubbish away with you when you leave.

PASSES

Please ensure that passes are clearly display on the car windscreen and caravan.

PETS

All dogs should be kept on leads and under control at all times. Dog owners are reminded to clean up after their dogs, as the site must be kept clean. There may be livestock in the surrounding fields and dog owners are therefore asked to be responsible.

SHOP

There is a shop on-site selling essential items

SPACING OF CARAVANS/TENTS

  1. Every unit should be not less than 6 metres from any other unit in separate family occupation and not less than 3 metres should be permitted between units in any circumstances.
  2. Vehicles and other ancillary equipment should be permitted within the 6 metres space between units in separate family occupation, but in order to restrict the spread of fire, there should be always 3 metres clear space within the 6 metre separation.
  3. All tents must be spaced at least 3 metres apart.
