'The Advice Centre' to launch at Peterborough Show

The National Motorhome & Campervan Show returns to the East of England Arena from 22^nd-24^th April after two years of date changes caused by the pandemic.

There are a fantastic selection of seminars and guest speakers visiting the show this year, which has led to the creation of The Advice Centre in the Cambridge Suite. Whether you’re on a fact-finding mission or want to enjoy some of the more relaxed talks, you will leave feeling inspired! There is no need to book, all talks are free.

Who are the speakers?

Peter Vaughan
Editor of What Motorhome and Road Test Editor of MMM, gives advice on how to find the right campervan or motorhome for you, covering topics such as layouts, types of motorhome, base vehicles and engine options, winter camping, weights and payloads.

Doug Hurrell
Having worked in motorhome sales since the 1990's Doug knows a thing or two about choosing vehicles! Join him for an informal Q&A session.

Wandering Bird
4 years ago, Kathryn Bird quit her job as an air traffic controller to tour Europe in a motorhome. Along with her (slightly bewildered) husband and Mac their cocker spaniel, they've spent most of that time on the road (give or take 2020.) She is passionate about encouraging others to have their own adventures, whether it's a 3-month tour or a quick weekend trip down the road.

The Roaming Radford's
Since 2007, the Radford family have toured the UK, Europe and US. They spend most school holidays and weekends enjoying adventures in their 2016 Swift Kon-Tiki 649. They set off with a rough destination in mind, but enjoy allowing the roads they take and the people they meet along the way to shape their journeys!

The Urban Motorhome
Originally from Essex, Darran, aged 33, has been living full time in his 2005 Fiat Ducato Swift Sundance 590RL since April 2017. As the name suggests he parks urban 99% of the time, streets, industrial estates, car parks etc, very rarely on a campsite!

Life Beyond Bricks
Tash & Jon have been motorhoming since 2014. In March 2019, they moved into their Adria Sonic full time with their 3 cats. Their mission is to discover what the UK has to offer, to find the hidden gems and showcase how beautiful, interesting and rich in history our country is!

Carl Meyer
With growing numbers of motorhomes now being stolen, Carl from Outsmart the Thief offers practical expert advice on the steps and measures you can take to keep your motorhome safe.

Richard, owner of SV Tech, runs through weight limits to avoid the hefty fines & implications of overloading.

Siobhan Daniels
After 30 years as a BBC presenter and reporter, Siobhan Daniels felt burnt out. In 2019, aged sixty, she took early retirement, sold her belongings, bought a motorhome and embarked on her solo trip around Great Britain! Since Siobhan embarked on this journey she has had to face her fears, weather severe storms and of course the pandemic challenges but she cannot emphasise enough how fantastic this experience makes her feel. Fully alive! In control! At one with nature! Join Siobhan for some retirement inspiration…

Meet the Youtubers!

The online community of 'van life' content creators has grown from strength to strength over the past few years, with plenty of good quality and entertaining channels and blogs.
For our 2022 show we want to celebrate these creatives that promote the hobby and have invited a handful of our favourite channels/blogs to join us in Peterborough.
You will have your chance to meet up and chat with your favourite YouTubers Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Advice Centre within the Cambridge Suite.

If you’re thinking of heading to Peterborough, pitch bookings are open until 2pm on Wednesday 6^th April, meanwhile booking for day visitor tickets closes an hour before the show opens each morning.
