Scamford Park

SCAMFORD Park is situated in peaceful countryside close to the village of Keeston, and just over four miles from the bustling market town of Haverfordwest in this beautiful part of Pembrokeshire.

The former holiday caravan park is being transformed into a residential park home estate by owners Richard and Christine White, who have linked with Wessex Park Homes as the provider of their homes. Each can be built to your personal specification, with a wide choice of finishes to included kitchens, floor and wall coverings, bathroom suites and furniture.

The Whites were anxious to select homes that would enhance the stunning environment in which the park is situated, and last year took delivery of the first models  – a Melbury Special and a Canford. When complete, 25 homes will be sited on the park.

Current show homes include a kitchen with integrated appliances, lounge, dining room, small study, two double bedrooms – one with en-suite shower room, main bathroom with full-size bath, furniture, carpets and curtains, block paved drives, paths, steps, and lawned gardens.

“We were determined to retain the uniqueness of Scamford Park, and the wide selection of Wessex homes available for people to choose from will do just that,” said Richard White. “We are very lucky to have everything here on our doorstep that anyone who is thinking of leaving the rat-race or retiring could possibly want.

“We are delighted that we can now give people the opportunity to live here permanently, rather than simply visiting for an all-too-short annual holiday.”

The nearby town of Haverfordwest grew up under the shadow of a Flemish castle to become Pembrokeshire’s administrative centre, encompassing a thriving market town. You will find an award-winning farmers’ market, a wide range of restaurants and cafés, supermarkets, pubs and hotels. There are a host of riverside walks to be enjoyed either in town or in the nearby countryside.

St David’s is only half-an-hour away. The smallest city in Europe has a main street with shops selling fresh produce, and a small supermarket. The cathedral has a visitor centre and gift shop.

Just a couple of miles away from Scamford Park is Pelcomb with a garage, mini-market and a couple of pubs and restaurants. Also local to the park is Simpson Cross where you will find a small farm shop selling local produce; and Roch with a village shop and post office.

If you enjoy the beach, then Newgale is just four miles away, with easy parking. This sandy beach is popular with surfers and families, and makes for a great walk. Alternatively, you could travel the six miles to the harbour at Solva, and take a stroll around the boats before enjoying refreshment in one of the many pubs, restaurants and cafés.
