With 22 new holiday home plots being created this spring, now is a great time to take a close look at this park with six lakes, surrounded by the beautiful Worcestershire countryside
In beautiful Worcestershire sits a holiday home park in a gorgeous setting, with six lakes. The park is currently expanding its offering, with the addition of 22 holiday home bases. Work has already started and is scheduled for completion in the late spring.
The Springs is in the Vale of Evesham, close to the elegant market town of Pershore, which is on the banks of the River Avon and famous for its medieval abbey and Georgian architecture. Evesham and Upton upon Severn are both just six miles from the park; Worcester is 10 miles away.
Pershore is in the heart of the fruit-growing lands of Worcestershire, and it’s the home of the annual Plum Festival. Apples, blackberries, pears, asparagus, plums, gooseberries, raspberries, strawberries and pumpkins are just some of the vast quantity of produce that is grown in these fertile lands. Fruit farming, on particular, has shaped the scenery; the orchards are quite spectacular, especially at blossom time in the spring.
The rolling landscape of Worcestershire lies between the Malvern Hills and the mellow-stone Cotswolds villages. One of the most spectacular of the villages is Broadway, known as the Jewel of the Cotswolds.
With The Springs as a base, there’s a lot to explore in Worcestershire. We’ve picked out a few of the gems here... Rail enthusiasts will love the Severn Valley Railway – you can take a
16-mile steam train ride from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. You can visit the West Midland Safari Park near Bewdley, or climb to the top of the landmark Broadway Tower, from where you can see 16 counties. And you can spend endless days exploring the quaint and beautiful villages of the Cotswolds.
The Springs is a spacious estate, with conservation areas as well as its six lakes.
Facilities include free WiFi, an indoor swimming pool and a Members’ Clubhouse that overlooks an eight-acre lake. The other five lakes offer private fishing.
The park is part of the Allens Caravans group and is the only Allens park to offer hire of lodges and twin units, which means you can get to know the park and its lovely surroundings while you are considering buying a holiday home here.
The Springs is open for 10 months of the year; the closure period is in January-February.
There’s a range of holiday homes from which to choose – and Allens has its own showground (The Valley, Evesham, Worcestershire WR11 4TP) on which to display those available. Among those currently on show are a Willerby Avonmore 38ft by 12ft two-bedroom home, a Willerby Vogue lodge (42ft by 13ft), also with two bedrooms, a Willerby Juniper lodge (45ft by 22ft) with three bedrooms and a Willerby Rowan (45ft by 20ft) with two bedrooms.
