Park review: Otter Valley Park in Devon

b47e52e2-19c4-4961-aeba-6061518bd4ea

Otter Valley is a gorgeous park in Devon, with amazing countryside views, close to the historic town of Honiton, famous for its lacemaking tradition… Little wonder that demand for park homes here is high. There is, though, one home for sale, sited, and two brand new, luxurious homes coming to the park soon.

The home which is already sited is an Oakgrove Waverton 40ft by 20ft model. It’s on sale for £210,000 and the price includes a year’s pitch fee, worth £2,800.

Every park home at Otter Valley is on a generous plot with ample space between each home, surrounded by its own garden, with parking alongside, plus a shed.

The essence of Otter Valley Park is peace and tranquillity, offering a quality lifestyle in quiet surroundings. The park is less than a mile from Honiton, known for its antique shops and regular street markets as well as for the ancient art of lacemaking, which dates back 400 years. Honiton also provides a wide range of retail outlets and transport links.

The park has extensive views over the River Otter towards the Blackdown Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

It’s in east Devon, only a short distance from Dorset. The delightful Regency coastal town of Sidmouth, which has many unusual shops, is just eight miles away.

There are many places of interest and pursuits to be discovered in east Devon, especially beautiful walks and golf courses. Sports facilities are available in Honiton, including a leisure centre with a swimming pool. Exeter, 18 miles away, also has good leisure opportunities, and it’s a lovely city for shopping.

The A30 provides excellent access to Exeter, Taunton and the M5, which gives convenient routes to Bristol and the West Midlands. The park is also easily accessible from the south and southeast, via the A35, the A30 and A303. Bournemouth and Southampton are less than two hours away and Newbury, Oxford and London are just under three hours away.

The park has only 37 homes, which is why it’s so quiet and peaceful. Residents must be aged 50-plus.
