Park Review: Brean Country Club Lodges

Tucked away in the Somerset countryside, a brand new development of luxury lodges sits within a gated development, nestled around landscaped gardens and a lake, with views of the Mendip Hills and across the park’s own 18-hole golf course.

Just 10 minutes away on foot, you will find seven miles of golden sands, access to national cycle routes, and the newest stretch of the England Coast Path at the National Trust site of Brean Down, which links to the South West Coast Path at Minehead.

Brean Down is a natural pier with a Victorian fort, and on clear days offers views of not just the Somerset Coast, but the coastline of South Wales.

Brean Country Club

Within the development, you will find a purpose-built, licensed Country Club serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon teas, and of course, the golf club is on the doorstep, which is there for your use.

At our multi award-winning sister resort nearby, you will find a host of facilities available for your use, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, indoor play centre, leisure park complex, gym, a fishing lake stocked with tench, roach, bream and carp, a variety of places to eat and multiple entertainment venues offering live entertainment for all ages. An Owners’ Lounge is available, open seven days a week and serving complimentary hot drinks. In addition, the Country Club will host exclusive lodge owners’ events.

 

Buying your Holiday Lodge

There is a selection of holiday lodges for sale with models starting at £139,995. The park has a range of models in stock for ownership from February 2019 which include ABI Harrogate, Regal Wyndham, Willerby Clearwater, Swift Toronto and a Pemberton Rivendale, with more models to come.

The luxurious ABI Harrogate lodge is furnished in a stunning and charming rustic, country set style décor. It offers spacious, open-plan living. Built to residential specification, with fixtures and fittings of the highest standard, its layout gives you a hallway, utility room, master bedroom with en-suite, a family bathroom and cathedral-style front windows to maximise the views. There is an integrated Bluetooth sound system, USB charging points and, of course, gas central heating.

The sophisticated Pemberton Rivendale has a very special layout, with, alongside the lounge, an additional snug – an ideal second “reception” room that you may decide to use as a quiet space for reading, or for children to use as a playroom; certainly a model to consider if you are a family.

The Swift Toronto also lends itself well to family living, with not just two, but three beds available in the second bedroom – bunks and a cabin bed, great for having sgrandchildren to stay or if you are a larger family. 

If you have a specific brand and model that you like, the park can order this for you and have it sited on your chosen plot, provided it meets with the specifications of the development. The park also offers the option of upgrades on standards models, so you can have your chosen holiday home manufactured to order to meet your exact requirements, including fully accessible lodges.

Each holiday lodge will come with over 400 square foot of outdoor decking space, ideal for outdoor living, and will of course have private parking spaces allocated.

Every individual lodge has its own individual free WiFi connection, important as a family and enabling you to work, if you have to, when you are away from home.

Pets are welcome throughout the development, and at the leisure park you will find dog friendly dining for pets and owners alike, at the COAST Cafe, not only serving you, but with a bespoke three-course dog menu.

Site fees start from £5950 for 12 months, which include free use of the swimming pool, and the entertainment facilities, with leisure packages available.

Included for your first year will be free membership to Brean Golf Club for the two lead owners, along with membership to the gym. Thereafter membership is offered at 50% off standard fees.

Subject to the usual requirements, we offer finance packages that can be based around your monthly budget, making lodge ownership affordable. Whilst you may be buying exclusively for your use, renting it out for just a small proportion of the year can reduce the annual costs at a minimum. And with a 52-week licence, letting it out for just a fraction of the year still gives you plenty of time to enjoy for yourself.

The modern, purpose-built facility has been designed over two floors, and will offer a quality dining experience, from breakfast and light lunches to afternoon teas and more formal evening dining. All food is freshly cooked to order.

Brean Park

A golf lounge, pro shop and changing rooms will accommodate members and visitors of Brean Golf Club.

The Country Club adjoins the luxury lodge development, and owners’ are welcome to use all the facilities on offer.
