Park home review: The Stately-Albion Carmarthen

b70a0e2a-a866-4657-8ee1-56ccbdaabd9a

The latest Stately-Albion Carmarthen park home has an extraordinary entrance. You step straight into what might be termed a sunroom, with four floor-to-ceiling windows and two roof lights. One of the windows is angled; you can envisage this room catching the sun as it moves around your home.

The near-white, plank-effect flooring in the sunroom continues from here into the kitchen which has a central island unit housing a Beko induction hob, six drawers and two cupboards.

An L-shaped configuration of more cabinets also incorporates the oven and grill and, on the opposite end of the cabinet unit, a double fridge-freezer with a water dispenser.
A washer and dishwasher complete the appliance offer.

sunroom

This is the perfect place to begin your day with coffee mugs and end it with a glass of something stronger as the sun sets. In between, it’s the reading room, the breakfast room, perhaps… This room is so delightful that it would arguably become the space in which you could spend most of your time. It’s definitely an element of the home that could sway you to choosing this model.

But there is more to the Carmarthen – much more…

The kitchen

The dining area

The six-seater dining suite, with cream leather upholstered chairs, sits in an alcove opposite the kitchen.

The lounge

The lounge is a totally separate room, a light, airy space benefiting from the vaulted ceiling and the entire front wall of windows; the centre two form a sliding patio door.
The high-quality, plain, pale fawn carpet and equally plain cream upholstery of the two sofas enhance the light, bright image.

The fireplace makes a statement – glowing white stones and flame-effect against a mirrored background, in a bold, plain cream surround.

The bedrooms and bathrooms

bedroom

The master bedroom continues the delightful, exceptionally plain décor appeal, with near-white walls and a white corner dressing table. The pale fawn curtains, cushions, bedhead and bed runner all have a silvery pattern which reflects the light and has a suggestion of traditional Paisley pattern. It’s a calm room, complete with a shower en suite and a superbly large walk-in dressing room.

The same palette theme, in the second bedroom, has a more angular pattern in the curtains, bedroom and the cushions. The dressing table in this room has six drawers; the wardrobe, plus a corner unit of four large shelf spaces, together offer plenty of storage space.

The bathroom has a P-shaped bath with an overhead shower. The stunning design element here is slate-effect tiles surrounding the bath, right up to the ceiling and extending beyond the bath to create a wide shelf. It’s a luxurious bathroom.

The Carmarthen is available in three layouts – a 48ft x 20ft unit with three bedrooms, a 40 x 20ft with two bedrooms and a 44 x 20ft, also with two bedrooms.
