Park Home Review: Prestige Homeseeker Florence

e2379344-94de-4176-a680-debfac8227c4

The Florence House is the latest addition to the Prestige Homeseeker portfolio. The manufacturer had suggested we should be prepared to be amazed. And we were.

We entered the Florence via the back door, stepping into one of its most useful elements – the utility room: the washing machine, cabinets and extra kitchen surface should you need it. Straight away, the Florence ticks all of the practicality boxes.

Adjoining, the kitchen is stunning, with white marble surfaces stretching along both sides of the galley layout. Even the sink arrangement is awesome, with a circular sink set into the marble which is grooved to provide the draining board. The high-arching tap has a directional facility: a flexible hose.

The hob has five burners, all with easily removable trivets for quick cleaning. Storage is generous, with 12 deep drawers and three large lower cabinets.

A glass panelled door leads into the dining room, with an elegant suite of comfortably upholstered, low-backed chairs and plain-style oak table plus a glass topped side table.

The dining area flows into the lounge, with a luxurious velvet-upholstered sofa plus two chairs, laded with gorgeous cushions in differing fabrics and shades of cream and fawn. There’s a touch of classic style in the big, bold cream fireplace and inset coal-effect fire. Burnished gold, thin metal frames the coffee table and two occasional tables; it’s the same style as the one in the dining area – and it’s stunning, in a simplistic way.

I make my way through the lounge and into the central hallway. Another of the thin-metal-framed tables which define the elegant styling of the Florence is here.

I find the study, and sit down at the desk with my laptop; making myself at home in the Florence House seems easy.

All you need is here – drawers, shelves and a fair amount of space. For many buyers, the study is an important room because it enables you to keep the necessitous admin all in one place.

Back in the hallway, there’s is a large double-doored cupboard; a key hideaway that emphasises that the Florence would be an easy home to keep tidy.

I find the second bedroom next, with a wall of wardrobes with sliding mirrored doors.

Eyes are drawn to unusual and stunning-design circular bedside tables. They have white marble tops and metal crossover bases that are a hint of the metal framed table styling we see elsewhere.

This is a delightful room with a calm cream and fawn palette and lots of mixtures of texture in the fabrics of the curtains and seven cushions.

The bathroom has a freestanding bath with freestanding tap and shower.

The main bedroom has the same feature wallpaper as the delightful second bedroom, this time teamed with amazing dark furniture: a tall four-drawer cabinet and two bedside cabinets that have a suggestion of oriental influence in the pattern on fascias of each of the top drawers.

A corridor of wardrobes, all with mirrored doors, leads to the en suite shower room.

Our view

The Florence House is a home of distinctive style and opulence. Dark wood, light furniture, contrasts of fabric textures that really work well, the metal-frame table styling, the marble kitchen surface that extends upwards to form a splash-back behind the hob; high quality everywhereÉ Brilliant touches like illuminated recesses in the kitchen, the awesome pendant light over the dining table, which is a circle of LEDs focusing down on tiny chains, plus a touch of the oriental styling in the bedroom furniture. The Florence has a blend of styles that is very cleverly executed.
