The essence of new style!
The Prestige Homeseeker Essence is a new park home with amazing features – a feature wall, a ‘coralistic’ colour theme, a utility room with a rail for drying clothes and a clever kitchen-dining layout.
The Essence has an imposing entrance. Immediately, you notice the lofty feel created by the vaulted roof. To the left of the hallway is a shelf; that’s the keys and phones taken care of as you step inside – and there’s a stunning mirror on a wall finished in silvery grey. Ahead of you are four shelves in a recess, providing opportunity to inject your own style. Even before you’ve left the hallway you know you’ve entered a home of distinctive style.
The lounge, dining and kitchen area has a stunning layout that creates three very separate areas, yet they blend into one. That’s down to two elements. One is a feature wall, finished in the new on trend colour that designers call ‘coralistic’. This pale coral wall separates the lounge from the kitchen and dining area. Throughout the kitchen-dining-lounge area this distinctive colour is teamed with fawns and greys of varying intensities – pale silvery grey for the curtains, even paler grey for the log burning-effect fire’s surround.
In the dining area – which is gorgeously light and bright thanks to two floor-to-ceiling windows – grey and fawn blends. The tabletop is fawn the table base is grey metal, almost industrial in its stunningly modern plainness.
And here comes the second really clever bit about the Essence: a half-wall that divides the dining area from the kitchen. Two shelves on one side of the wall are open to both the kitchen and dining side.
You could use it to pass dishes to someone in the dining area, a bit like the ‘pass’ in a restaurant. Two glass lights hang above the table and a gigantic Roman numeral clock that matches the steel table base are stunning style elements.
In the kitchen the grey tone is bolder for gloss-finished cabinets. The microwave and oven are at chest height. The hob is of an interesting design, with four burners of varying sizes. The two pan trivets are really easy to remove for cleaning. An extractor is disguised within the base of the cabinet above the hob.
The coral shade that makes such a bold statement on the floating wall also appears on the hessian-look Roman blind. We love this kitchen. We also love the herringbone pattern grey and fawn flooring of the kitchen and dining area.
The Essence’s bathroom has the same herringbone pattern flooring. There’s a P-shaped bath with shower and hinged splash shield. A tall towel warmer plus fawn, wood-effect tiles are the style statement here.
And this home has a surprise: a utility room that contains not only a washing machine and a sink but a rail on which to hang clothes to dry. Cabinets on both sides of the utility room plus a shelf above the drying rail will hide away a lot of stuff.
The guest room gets the coral touch, on the edges of the Roman blind that has a hexagonal grey and white pattern on satiny fabric.
The large wardrobe has sliding white glass doors; it’s very neat and modern in styling. The main bedroom and its en suite, plus walk-in dressing room, occupies the whole width of the home. It’s a lovely space.
The pale coral and grey theme continues here for the curtains and upholstered headboard. A neat dressing table, complete with a stool, upholstered in coral, looks lovely. We also like the practicality of the large shelf in a recess in the shower, creating plenty of space for shampoo and other shower necessities. Like the bathroom, the ensuite has a tall towel warmer. And there’s an extractor fan in the shower.
