Park Home Review: Prestige Bella Vista

Bella Vista of course means ‘beautiful view’. And this new residential park home’s full-width, big front windows ensure owners can make the best of the vista from their plot.

This home’s name, though, isn’t about enjoying views from your home. The interior of the home earns the description ‘beautiful’.

This is a stunning home with some amazing features, using slate and natural wood in the décor. Greys and whites predominate in the walls and furniture. It has copper and “blush pinks” as accent colours.

The lounge, dining area and kitchen integrate as an open-plan area, under a stark white roof with inset spotlights.

Lounge

The focal point of the lounge is an inset section of the wall, clad in ‘slate’. It looks and feels like slate – a clever design! Five spotlights focus down from the top of the inset’s frame. The lights stress the ‘slates’ and illuminate a beautiful and eye-catching copper art creation of stylised birds. Long, slender windows flank the inset section. And, at the base, an array of cabinets and drawers ensures you can keep everything tidy.

The two lounge chairs and settee are modern in style, upholstered in plain grey. They have an array of cushions in shades of grey and ‘blush’ pink. The carpet is the palest grey. The total lounge look is awesome. The floor-to-ceiling curtains on the front windows. And the Roman-style blinds over the slim side windows, in greys and silvery shades, complete the look. The geometric-inspired pattern is modern.

Dining space

Bordered by the ends of the kitchen cabinet and island units, the dining space has its own identity. Although it’s integrated into the open-space design.

A Roman-style blind dresses the window. And copper – a charming feature of the décor – is here, too. It is on the inside of an oval, grey pendant light, suspended by two opaque wires. It looks amazing.

Hallway

Another stunning feature of the lounge-dining area is a ‘thermowood vertical breeze partition’. It's made of attractive natural wood, angled, to create a divide without being a solid wall, between the lounge and the hallway. The effect is to keep the open-plan feel and make the hallway feel a separate entity from the lounge.

Kitchen

The grey and white theme of the Bella Vista stands out in the kitchen. You will see gloss white cabinets, grey granite-effect worktops and paler grey walls. The island unit, with a gloss white top and grey sides, forms a natural divider between the kitchen of this open space and the lounge.

The five-burner hob is set into the island unit. The oven and grill are on the rear wall of the kitchen and the fridge freezer is on the fore end. A wine cooler forms part of the cabinet-and-drawers suite in the island unit. There is a built-in open wine rack in the lower cabinet run. The Bella Vista is perfect for parties, it seems!

Bathroom

To the right of the hallway is a beautiful bathroom with an over-bath shower. The walls are pastel grey. Darker grey tiles around the bath and washbasin alcove have a matt raindrop effect.

A large heated towel rail and stunning circular mirror in a big chrome-effect frame catch the eye. The mirror above the washbasin is bright-white backlit. Stunning!

Main bedroom

Our exploration of the Bella Vista now takes us along the pastel-grey walled corridor to the main bedroom. A big window illuminates the room. A dressing table sits in a recess.

Pale, silvery grey diamond-patterned wallpaper is a stunning feature in the recess into which the bed head is set. Above it, four spotlights shine down. It’s beautiful.

And there’s more. A corridor of wardrobes leads to the most stylish shower room in any park home we’ve seen so far – and we see a lot. Style arrives in two backlit mirrors of the type seen in the main bathroom, dark grey gloss cabinet fronts, more grey walls. And two washbasins – his and hers! Even the door is noteworthy, constructed with a horizontal panel effect.

Second bedroom

The second bedroom is stunning, sticking to the grey theme. This time with plain grey floor-to-ceiling curtains. A door leads to a dressing room of huge proportions . And, behind it, a walk-in cupboard hides the central heating unit; a clever design.

Our view

The Bella Vista is a sophisticated creation, a fusion of cool whites and greys with rock and wood themes. The amount of storage is impressive. Especially in the vast corridor of wardrobes off the main bedroom. And in the hidden dressing room off the second bedroom. These are well designed features.

This is a ultra-modern residential home which follows the cool high fashion colours of grey and copper. The colours, the style and the versatility of use of that big open lounge-dining space, lends the Bella Vista to appeal in the holiday arena. This is why Prestige Homeseeker is marketing it in that arena as well as a residential home.
