The ethos of Omar’s Sandringham park home is timeless elegance and practicality – at a surprisingly affordable price.

The Sandringham has a distinctive yet traditional exterior and, as you step inside, you discover a wide hallway and a cupboard for coats. This home has an unusual and practical layout, with the utility room directly opposite the hallway. Effectively, this arrangement divides the home into two sectors, with a walkway through the centre of the layout.

In the utility room a sink and drainer, plus a washing machine, take care of the boring tasks. And this would be an ideal home to consider if you have dogs; you can bring them in through the rear door and wipe their paws before they ‘escape’ into the rest of the house.

The Sandringham’s kitchen is galley style, featuring handleless cabinet doors with a simple curved recess to grip. Grey ripple-effect tiles run all the way around the kitchen and utility room. The styling is lovely.

The four-burner hob is opposite the sink; the oven is to the left. We like the practicality of this configuration; this would be an easy kitchen in which to work.

The kitchen opens into the dining area. This is a lovely area with a wide bay window and French doors.

The elegant lounge has two floor-to-ceiling bay windows. A pleasing pale blue is the statement colour, for the plain upholstery of the large, comfortable three-piece suite.

Two stunning ceiling lights each have five globes made of a silvery filigree of metal.

Together, the lounge and dining area form an L-shape with the focal point being a white stone-effect fire set into a plain cream surround.

The bathroom has an over-bath shower with a folding screen. Four shelves and a sizable surface create places to put shampoos and plenty more stuff.

The Sandringham has a study (on selected floor plans), furnished with a desk unit spanning two walls and a large, cream upholstered chair. It’s a well-designed, delightful room with plenty of desk space, three drawers and a cabinet plus two deep shelves – and a blue-turquoise Roman blind.

The pale blue theme continues in the master bedroom, where this tone creates a bright, yet soft, look for the curtains, plus four large cushions and frame of the bed head. The bay window theme of the lounge continues here.

A walk-through wardrobe area leads to the spacious shower room.

Throughout the Sandringham the wall covering is subtle quartz, cream and white, with a vertical pattern that catches the light.

The Sandringham is available in four standard layouts and sizes. The study and utility room are features of two of the layouts, the 50ft by 20ft and the 45ft by 20ft versions.
