Park Home Review: Omar Colorado

507fc1cd-3574-4452-84d0-4a225a2c3e8a

The Colorado gets a new look for 2021 with new window styling. This is Omar’s longest-running home; the first one was unveiled more than 50 years ago.

The new window styling sees a departure from the Georgian bars that previously defined this model. Plain panes are now a feature of the exterior and of the window that sits between the lounge and the hallway. This floor-to-ceiling window is one of the outstanding features of the Colorado, allowing extra light to flow into the lounge from the hallway.

There’s a classic elegance about the Colorado; homely comfort in a bright modern setting with an abundance of light flooding into the L-shaped lounge-dining room, comfortably furnished with a large settee and two armchairs. The dining area is almost an alcove, delightfully furnished with a chunky oak table, plain in shape yet actually really special. There’s a sideboard to match, capacious, with a double cabinet and two drawers.

The kitchen is totally separate, with a glass door to divide it from the dining room. Stunning, fine horizontally aligned tiling catches the eye and gleams in the illumination from the central ceiling spotlights set on a bar. Matt white cabinet doors with chunky, shiny steel handles are super modern in style. The cabinet run incorporates a dishwasher and washing machine. A combination grill-oven is on one side of the kitchen and the four-burner hob is conveniently close to the sink. This is a beautiful kitchen that combines practicality with elegance and bright modern looks.

Elegant plain white doors and chrome handles are the features that you notice first as you walk along the hallway corridor to the accommodation sector of the Colorado. These simple style items give a clue to what you will find as you start to explore: modern simplicity mixed with luxurious looks.

The colour theme throughout the bedroom and bathroom area is pale sea green aqua. The furniture doors are finished in matt aqua shade; it’s also used for the bath side and cabinet under the enormous circular washbasin.

The main bedroom has plenty of floor space, a wide floor-to-ceiling window and a large mirror above the bed. This mirror enhances the look of space, together with the full-length mirror on the shower room door, set back from the bedroom in an alcove in which a suite of wardrobes and drawers create loads of storage space.

Our view

With half a century of heritage behind it, and now with new styling, the Colorado’s 2021 looks of classical elegance with lovely modern touches take this home into its next half century in brilliant style.
