Holiday Home Review: Willerby Linwood

This popular layout has been refreshed for the 2021 season, with a new colour palette. There is a definite summer vibe about the Linwood; the grey upholstered sofa and seating has an almost blue hue which contrasts perfectly with the pale yellow cushions in the lounge area. The upholstery fabric has a very small check design made up of dark and light greys and the curtains have the same colour palette, this time with a digital motif.

The surfaces in the Linwood are a pale bleached oak effect and, inset into shelving, is a light blue eggshell colour that amplifies the ‘blue hue’. It feels bright, airy and very modern.

The worktops in the kitchen are finished in a dark grey granite effect, teamed with matt white cupboard doors and drawers and steel handles. The pale oak of the shelving again has an eggshell blue backing in the kitchen and the textured white wallpaper adds another style element.

In the bedrooms, the blue hue continues with a rich square of blue velvet behind each of the pillows, giving a single bedhead per person rather than the usual full-width bedhead. Again teamed with the pale oak wood, this gives all of the rooms an incredibly bright feel.

The carpets throughout the Linwood are a tri-tone of silver, light grey and dark grey and the laminate section in the kitchen and hallway is the same pale oak as the surrounds to the furniture.

Our view

The neutral, yet bright colour scheme means you can easily make this holiday home your own creation; it allows you to add colours without changing the overall ambience. Or you could take it exactly as it comes out of the factory, with a bright, modern and simple scheme that would welcome you every time you walk through the door.
