Holiday Home Review: Willerby Linwood & Waverley

Willerby is launching two brand new holiday home models; they will be unveiled at the Lawns Caravan Extravaganza (8 and 9 September). These are the Linwood and Waverley. Both are ultra-modern in styling, with lots of stunning elements.

The Waverley is a new luxury model, spacious, at 14ft wide. The two-bed model is 40ft long; the three-bed model is 42ft long.

The Linwood is designed with affordability and budgets in mind, ideal for a first holiday home, with lots of options so that you can go up from the basic price if you want to add things to your Linwood. For example, you can choose to have the option of patio doors - not something that's usually available at the Linwood’s price point.

Waverley

Many holiday homes have their entrance straight in the kitchen-dining area; the Waverley, though, has a hallway, designed so that minimal heat can escape through the door. The hallway has a coat hanging space with a seat and shoe rack, plus a small console table
with a mirror.

The Waverley’s colour scheme is distinctive Ð soft dusky pinks, reminiscent of orchid shades, combined with on-trend greys. Tactile velvets and faux-silks inject a feeling of luxury.

There’s very much a feeling of open plan, with the kitchen in the heart of the unit. It has a large island unit with a bookcase on one end and a recess for dining stools that have a grey paint finish to match the table frame, on the other end. The dark grey dining chairs are rather sophisticated in style, and upholstered for comfort.

The kitchen has two-tone colouring. Top lockers are ‘Cashmere’. Base units are wood-effect, with large (90cm width) pan drawers. Bar-style handles are in copper and black to match the pendant lights over the dining table and breakfast bar.

The main bedroom has a boutique hotel bedroom feel, with a large velvet-upholstered headboard, cage-style lights on each side of the bed, with vintage bulbs, and mirror and picture frames in black. There’s a large wardrobe, a dressing table plus a small window seat with velvet cushion pads and drawers beneath. Feature colours have lovely names: ‘Cashmere’ and ‘Swiss elm grey’.

The second bedroom, unusually, is aligned down the length of unit rather than across. It has three-feet-wide twin beds. This bedroom follows the style as the main bedroom.

The main bedroom has a toilet and basin en suite; there’s a separate shower room.

Linwood

The Linwood has a stunning colour feature. Flashes of denim blue are in the backs of open shelving and display cabinets.

Purple is also a feature, on a bench-style seat in the dining area.

The woodwork is oak with a whitewash and saw-cuts creating a suggestion of distressed wood.

The kitchen has a classic and practical U-shaped layout. The units are finished in ‘Cashmere’ shade.

The Linwood offers you lots of options including an upgrade pack. Kitchen equipment included in the pack are a microwave, an externally vented cooker hood, a full-height glass splash-back and a fridge-freezer. For the lounge, the pack offers upgraded seating including armrests, scatter cushions and an electric fire. You can opt for underlay to be fitted, curtains on poles throughout the home, plus voiles, additional sockets in the bedrooms and an extractor fan in the bathroom.
