The Brookwood’s layout is a new concept in holiday homes. Its living area is not just enormous for a 38ft by 12ft holiday home, it has two L-shaped seating areas; one for lounging and the other for dining.
The main kitchen area is also L-shaped, and has an extra area, opposite, housing the fridge-freezer and microwave. This awesome open-plan layout also has a two-seater breakfast bar.
The Brookwood’s trendsetter layout brings several new dimensions to leisure living. The amount of floor space in the lounge is impressive; that’s because the seating is confined to one side. The wide-open feel is enhanced by the bay window with opening central doors. Opposite the seating, a suite of cabinets provides a place for a television, plus four lower and four upper cupboards with doors finished in ultra-pale grey on a framework of aged wood. The aged wood style is a theme of the Brookwood’s décor, used here for the coffee table, dining table, breakfast bar, cabinet casing in the kitchen, plus all of the home’s doors.
The kitchen is surely the star of the show; it’s enormous, with an L-shaped main section housing the cooker, sink and loads of cabinets, plus a second area, on the other side of the home, where the fridge/freezer and microwave sit amid more cabinets. The dining area follows the Brookwood’s L-shape theme, with upholstered seating plus two stools. It’s set apart, but conveniently close to the kitchen.
The aged wood theme goes on into the shower room where the outstanding design feature is a wall finish of fine white geometric patterns on slate grey.
More of the attractive aged wood is in the bedrooms, this time teamed with subtle green velvet for the upholstered headboard that runs the entire width of the room. We love the amount of clothes storage space, in two wardrobes plus three drawers inside one of the wardrobes.
The Brookwood is a real head-turner that raises the bar in holiday home layout terms. It has a stamp of authority about it, making a statement that its design innovation could well have an influence on the future of holiday homes. Well done, Willerby!
