If you’re drawn to Scandinavian-inspired style, you’ll love the open-plan layout of the Harrington holiday home by Tingdene.
Shades of taupe and natural linen are teamed with pale grey to create an ultra-calm look. This lodge is also characterised by its huge lounge windows; two of them are opening doors. You’d really feel in touch with the outdoors in this room.
The design of this 40ft by 20ft lodge is infused with Scandinavian style elements in all areas – simple lines, louvre wall insets, bright white kitchen units.
It has some stunning furniture designs, too, including two small, quirky rocking chairs in the lounge and a feature wall of textured grey inset into a bold white frame. Spotlights focus down to a white shelved area that stretches the entire length of the lounge.
The Harrington’s entrance hallway has a place for coats and shoes and a cushioned seat; no excuses for not taking off your shoes as you step inside!
An open-shelved divider sits between the hallway and the lounge, keeping the open-plan look while also creating a demarcation.
The kitchen is galley-style, in that it is arranged in a parallel configuration but it’s much wider than classic galley kitchens, and with a full-height window at the head of the ‘galley’. Over the breakfast bar are three filament-bulb, conical glass pendant lights; four upholstered bar chairs are up to the breakfast bar.
The dining area benefits from the big-window theme of the lounge; windows are on both sides of this area. The table is extendable to seat six; two extra chairs can be purchased.
Chrome pendant lights over the dining table and lounge look stunning.
